when luke destroys the DSI, could it be infact just damaged? maybe the first attavk went wrong?
the colouring is so much better and cleaner now!
in some shots where luke is trying to raise the x wing, he is stood facing the fog, so we see him against a grey foggy background.
how difficult would it be to have some more treelike background in the distance? i understand it is very foggy, but perhaps it may look more interesting if there was more depth. one thing i liked about SW:R was the additions that made you feel like you were watching the movie for the first time again. in some ways i wish i could reset my mind as if id never seen it just for that reaction all over again!
its like correcting perfection, so much so the dvd will actually glow with some sort of holy aura...
ady, i read on another thread that apparantly on the 2004 release, that scenes during battles of people being shot were shortened as not to offend younger viewers. i wasnt aware of this, but have you restored any of these in your IV and V edits?

please dont use the clone wars logo though, use the STAR WARS one, but perhaps enstead of "EPISODE" it could be "CLONE WARS I" or something, or perhaps EPISODE II.I, then EPISODE II.II etc?

The vader scene should be included i guess if you plan it to be part III of a trilogy, as the emperor has had no introduction otherwise. if its part VI then its unneccessary, and potentially a bit of a headache for you.:P
i really liked it, especially the fact that you uploaded it in a far-from-complete form, which was quite nice to see. the only two things i wasnt too sure about was bens speech on tatooine, im not sure how much it will break up the pacing, but it seems to make alot of sence:
leia goes to rescue han, they BOTH get captured (like in ESB)
luke goes to rescue them, but this time succeeds.
the other thing though is the arrival of the emperor, could you leave this until they go to the rebel fleet? its a good way of establishing a shift in storyline to fighting empire as oppose to fighting jabba.
i liked the alternative fate of the droids, ie being taken straight to the dungeon, and the executor appearance, though vaders little intro may not be necessary. id rather not see him until the second half of the film with the emperor.

just on the subject of shuttles, i think it doesnt matter that the cargo shuttle is the same as vader's shuttle, i mean theres probably just fancier furniture inside, though for the emperor i wouldnt mind seeing someting slightly more special, like a red shuttle. (though thats for a forum in the far future)
on the subject of the emperor, i grabbed this from the force unleashed trailer:
i really like the eyes on him, its almost ghostly and demon like. would you consider doing a similar thing to the emperor across the revisited saga? a slight emperor reinvention? i thought id mention it now as he is in the hologram.
are there any other audiobooks that have the comics aswell, like shadows of the empire, that you could just use the imagery and a cut down audiofile?
just completely different subject. i know you plan to add more ATATs to the hoth battle, will you have more wrecks lying around? and possibly a crashed rebel transport? just to illustrate the rebel destruction?

just in defence of my point, i was just throwing out the idea that the PT lightsaber should not have music like the OT, so we dont need to suggest adding music as it may not be different by the time we see PT:Revisited!
i agree that the same things seem to get recycled which gets a tad annoying.
what if obi wan met him on endor? probably a bit daft, but it is a forest moon. it would require lots of work swapping swamp for forest, and im not sure how it would fit. personally i think obi wan is needed to mention why he lied, even if leia isnt mentioned. could it be done in flashback
btw ,where is your tie fighter/coruscant image from?
i agree here. the silence of lightsaber fights hightens the tension, especially as the music is the hum of the sabers. i did try putting the music from the throne room from ROTJ in there on movie maker and it worked well, but not as well as it being quiet.
im hoping that in adys prequel edits he trys having the musicless lightsaber fights, would be interesting.:)
there are two types of edits i like. ones that you dont realise are edits as they are professional and mostly subtle in changes (ie infodroids indy cuts) and there are the ones that are really interesting but not always cut perfectly.
the later favourites of mine that i have managed to see, that are not 'perfect' but very interesting conceptually are:
- star trek bugs
- matrix dezionised
- x-men requiem war
- star wars reborn trailers and clips (the trailers alone stand up as edits)
in responce to critisism i would like to know what edits to avoid. there a LOADS of edits out there, especially star wars ones, and it takes a while to get hold of each one (i only torrent, cant stand rapidshare). it would be nice to have a list of whats worth a watch and what isnt.
i quite liked the new clone wars film, or should i say i was disappointed with it less than i was with ep I and II.
when its on dvd i hope someone adds a crawl to it though.
are you adding a crawl to this one? whatever you do dont replace the star wars logo with a clone wars one :S

i was thinking of a film based around luke and vader from ROTJ, and them having flashbacks based on conversations, and the flashbacks inspiring flashbacks to give depth.
just a thought, i do more thinking than doing.:P
anyone know of any good sources for desert footage in films? i may upload some sketched ideas, but ive got a reborn/editting itch and wouldnt mind fleshing out some ideas. lets say the prologue+dune inspired me.:P
im after mainly flat horizons with desert mainly, so the naboo cruiser can make a quiet and distant entrance. quigon+crew exit and go towards mos espa in silence, with eery mysterious music playing. (maybe footage of a foot walking in the desert aswell). as they enter the town, we then cut on and off to him talking to the council about anakin, thus to imply that they have gone to get him as oppose to landing under other circumstances.
i dont know what happens after that, but i like the something out of nowhere entrance, possibly with Brian Eno's "prophecy theme" from dune in the background. i would scrap the opening crawl, and probably most star wars themes i think by having simply STAR WARS in white lettering (liek the titles in "the prestige")
lots of work though, and im still recolouring comics.:P

where is that footage from with the desert and two suns, but when travelling across the desert? i thought it was ROTJ but i dont think it is?

i really like the use of boba fett in the cantina, it makes it alot more mysterious. i am hoping the eventual AOTC:R by adywan incorperated some of these ideas.
does anyone know how to convert mkv format to avi? i tried a few free trial programs and they suck.:(
