i quite liked the way he used the gun, but the whole grevious bursting into flames was a little over the top. could have been better perhaps if grevious just violently hit the floor after being shot. anticlimactic end of the war.

well naboo had practically no weapons, and an edit could whittle that down further, i mean the WHOLE of naboo had a hangar of fighters, and like 20 guys with guns. i dont think it would contradict the ANH reference too much.

i reckon the bonus of having an alderaan backstory would be really beneficial. if only there was a way to make lars a grumpy trooper who was a bit more involved.

i guess a problem with making alderaan/naboo capital would be two things though,

a) queen of naboo/alderaan, would that make her leader of the republic? or does naboo just act as a standing area for the senate

b) when naboo gets invaded by trade federation (or proto seperatists) i would expect a greater responce, unless the republic was too afraid to ask, and the jedi were acting more as infiltrators.

Padme Organa....hmm, if only we could change her first name to flow better.

all good ideas Monroville, though not too keen on coruscant/alderaan change. i would love to see the naboo/alderaan change, and renaming padme organa might not be too difficult as most people who call her 'amidalla' at some point also talk to bail organa, so a simple line swap may work?

maybe enstead of mace windu saying "i should end this once and for all" he could quote ezekiel like in pulp fiction...

it would explain how palpatine gets the upperhand...:P

what was that guy's name who could do that....

maybe the music for the ewoks should be changed? they generally have scoring similar to the jawas (march of the little people or something like that) perhaps something either creepier, or just less cute and fuzzy would give them an edge.

and maybe alternative voices too?

Retrofied? No Coruscant? It would never had the exact feel unless it was made and first watched by us around the time we watched to originals the first time.

 

We had a Tantive IV, Lars Homestead, Star Destroyer bridge and other things that look just like the OT, seriously what did you want? The prequels were set on mostly heavily populated planets, the OT was set on mostly low populated planets. 10,000 SW fans want the movies 10,000 of different ways, a movie can't be made custom for all.

well yeah, i noticed that too. i personally would like to see a PT that has been retrofied to have the same feel as the OT. not saying the PT was bad, just not the PT i wanted.

one thing about the PT that didnt work for me, regardless of the acting/humour/characters/graphics, was how the films didnt seem to run as a six film series, it is obvious how the two trilogies run separately, but as a six film saga i dont think they work as well. some people watch them IV, V, VI, I, II, III, or I, II, III, IV, V, VI, or maybe even (for me anyway) IV, II, V, III, VI.

are you planning to make them run in order? with more visual consistency, and a tonal overview to all six films so they are more like six parts to a bigger picture?

i guess an example of which would be making the epilogue section of ROTJ (ie victory celebrations etc) like a potential prologue section of TPM.

regarding vaders death, has anyone suggested that maybe vader fades away like we see yoda and obi wan do? (i would also like all the PT jedi to do the same, even though that isnt strictly EU, but it would be a cool thing to see)

to be honest id prefer the boosters not to even feature in the PT if it is possible to take them out. boosters would give rise to too many thoughts relating to 'why didnt he use them at this point'.

you see him put his jacket on afterwards. if you are short of a film, you can find them on youtube.

i don't want to get fire-balled if this has been mentioned already, but it would be interesting to see yodas eyes look around a bit more, i find them quite static. mainly just in his little speech where he is animated quite alot.

the yoda clip from ady from waay back is stunning, and i like the little clip from G E PREDATOR too, i agree with frank, it would be good in an alternative ESB adition, maybe like an infinities version.

(ps, i hope this doesn't linger, but if you have a beef with a member, PM him/her, it leaves a horrible taste on a thread otherwise, no offense intended to any party)

if that scene was to be a closing shot for the PT then maybe enstead of coruscant of the DS, just have the imperial fleet roaming the galaxy, then maybe an exterior shot of the emperor and vader looking out of the window, then just zoom out into stars as if a reverse of the opening of a STAR WARS film. would mirror the ending of ESB perhaps? (except vader doesnt put his arm around palp)
