Everytime I watch that scene I think I am watching the original Back to the Future and waiting to see Marty McFly walk in with Kenobi, and say, "You built a time machine out of midiclorians?"

Every time you watch it? I find it funny that nearly everyone who claims to hate these movies so much spends so much time watching/rewatching them and constantly making them the focus of their free time on the internet.

I'm not trying to make this a personal attack at all, I'm just curious as to why.
the better qustion is why are you on these boards? this is pretty much an anti prequels site so we can be free to bash these films as much as we want to, freedom!

Holograms...

I'm not saying I like the scene - I think its totally unnecessary and really hurts Jabba's ruthless gangster character we know from ROTJ. It also looks absolutely horrible.

I just spend lots of time thinking about ways that he could have done those sorts of scenes more tastefully. I really love the holograms throughout the trilogies and that seems like a perfect spot to use them.
thats a good idea!

What's wrong with Star Trek? When they remastered it, they brought out details that hadn't existed in the broadcast tapes (like coffee stains on Spock's uniform). What you're seeing may be different than the old NTSC broadcasts you're used to, sure, but it's closer to the 35mm prints.
thats why i dont like them. all the grain and color that was so much a part of my memeories of that show dont exist the way they did and its a shame. and i dont think thats the way it originally looked, the way it looked was when it was first broadcast and these remastered versions dont look like that at all. what i mean to say is they look to plain now, and too flat visually for my liking.
i think i have more a problem with these than the trilogy on dvd, and least those dont look flat or uninteresting
