it really did give kids a fantasy life (i know it did for me and probably still does) regardless of jar jar. who hasnt fantasized about wielding a lightsaber or shooting a blaster?

they did have better authors but lucasfilm when they started the new order series refused to give out royalties instead just gave out a flat fee which pissed off the quality writers so they werent interested in writing them cuz lucasfilm is greedy
