btw mccallum produced alot of small english films before he says he 'sold out' to work for lucas so thats where all the ass kissing comes into play.
also irvin kershner is probably more to blame than anybody else. i read he was hard to reign in on alot of movies.
and trying to get yoda to to work was a major problem as well. thats where most of the delays stemmed from

personally i feel jurassic park has the BEST cg ever. even lost world looks like shit in comparison. why i dont know. but to me everything has been pretty much a joke since then.

it was though a mutual parting, kurtz wasnt fired, he simply didnt like where the story of jedi was going so he quit to do dark crystal instead. btw i dont care how much money mccallum saved lucas, the prequels suck to me thats more a crime
