Originally it would have been just the official releases from 2003 and the release dates of the PT on DVD and these days I don’t usually have a preferred viewing order but if I do a marathon then it’s always in Episode order I-III, Solo, Rogue One, IV-VI, VII-VIII lol I always skip TROS for obvious reasons.
As in what versions I watch now since finding OT site it’s
Episode I - Hal 9000
Episode II - Octorox
Episode III - Hal 9000
Solo - Official Release
Rogue One - Hal 9000
Episode IV - Hal 9000
Episode V - Hal 9000
Episode VI - Hal 9000
The sequel trilogy is a tough one because just when I think I have found the perfect edit for myself personally I read about another edit and every edit seems to fix something that the previous edit hadn’t (Personal Preference) so this is having me think should I just download my favourite version of each edit and go from dipping in my toes to putting my foot in lol.

After writing this and previewing my post just realised I should have just put Hal 9000 all edits 🤣🤦

Lord of the Rings Trilogy and The Hobbit Trilogy are both way over rated, I would rather do back to back viewings of the Star War PT & ST than watch them.
I seriously don’t get what all the fuss is about.

Really, did you even read the cutlist before watching and even if you did clearly fan edits are not your thing. Just an idea for you, if you think you could do an edit anywhere close to amazing as Hal’s edits give it a go and show people or even better how about trying to be part of a community and give some ideas and input to what some of these awesome editors are doing instead of being so rude and disrespectful.

Sorry Hal that you sometimes have to put up with some people’s B/S and instead of being grateful of you sharing your hard work they only show negativity.

I was unable to unrar at first, kept tellinh me that rar001-002 is missing. The files just needed renaming the last 3 digits of the file to matche the file 1 (e.g rar001-002, *rar02-03 needs to be rar002-003 and so on). Hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same issue.

Finally got round to watching this last night and wow absaloutley loved it. Your edit works far more better than the series, with the series in the end I found I was just watching to see where it goes and how will it end rather than being excited to watch it but your edit put the excitement back in it👍.

Finally got around to watching Chapter 1 today and 🤯 absaloutley loved it, I do like the Mandalorian but the filler episodes/parts just slow it down to much which sometimes makes it a chore to watch.
Loves everything done with this edit, everything flowed smoothly and seamlessly (As per usual with your edits😁). Looking forward to watching Chapter 2 soon👍.

Looking forward to seeing these when finished mate, knowing what an awesome job you did of the sequels these should be amazing too👍.

New test! I reworked Leia’s death again, this time to make all of the audio a little more deliberate. I removed the score from all the dialogue I needed to use MI-2 style. Then, I combined two different tracks that fit the tone fairly well but could also blend together fairly easily. I think I like this better, and with some further iteration it may be the way this looks in V2.

Just want to say a massive thank you once again for sharing these, thought it was appropriate to say thanks again after my 3rd viewing of ESB this weekend lol.
Thanks for all the work you put in with your edits Hal, really appreciate you sharing your work.

It’s crazy that as not matter how many times I rented the original VHS the updated changes never really bothered me with ESB except for some of the color changes of Hoth where they made it more Blue to give it a more colder look.
Now as for ANH and ROTJ the only changes I noticed and hated was The Jawa and the Droid as they enter Mos Ridley and Jabba in ANH and Jedi Rocks in ROTJ🙄🤦, a lot of changes or goofs as for things like the Wampas arm I had never even noticed until joining OT lol.

At this point I consider the edit “picture locked”, which in my head means I’ve got it where I want it and will not be making any further major changes. Everything from here on out is just tweaking things and fixing technical problems. I’ve got it in a good place, but some of the audio changes are challenging and require some more attention.

I’ve got some trusted eyes watching it this weekend that will likely find more problems I haven’t noticed, but I watched it from beginning to end yesterday on a big TV with very loud surround sound (my wife was out of the house so I could really crank it) and I’m very happy with how it has turned out.

So TL:DR, this should be released very soon, within the next two weeks or so. I’m very proud of it. I’m grateful for all the assistance and shared ideas that I was able to use. Big shoutout to all the amazing work on Ascendent that HAL9000 and all his contributors put into that edit, as it formed the basis of mine and brought in some incredible moments nobody would’ve thought could even exist.

There will be a big long list of thank you’s at the end of the credits for this one!

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying it can’t work just I find it weird that one minute she is worried and doesn’t want him to race and the next it’s a case of “My Place is Here”. To me it always felt like she was only telling Anakin that so he wouldn’t feel bad about leaving.

As for the Quigon assisting Anakin during his space battle maybe the line he gives Anakin before the Pod Race might work better. “Remember concentrate on the moment feel don’t think, use your instincts, May the force be with you”.

Hi Guys/Gals, wow an amazing thread and some absaloutley amazing ideas. I was never a huge fan of TPM until seeing Hal9000’s amazing Cloak of Deception and since have been hooked on the fan editing scene.

Anyway I don’t want to wobble on about how I got here but after reading through the thread I seen that one idea was to have Shmi freed also, as much as I like the idea I think it may create some issues.

*1 I couldn’t believe that Shmi would not leave Tatooien and accompany her son Anakin. She wouldn’t know if the Jedi Council would accept him.

*2 I think it will create a problem when it comes to AOTC, how would Anakin know how to find his mother, what would lead him to the Lars family and eventually to the sand people.

Just throwing that out there, seriously loving all the ideas and concepts in this thread.

Wow just checked the trailer out and this looks amazing, I love some of the ideas and am looking forward to seeing this once released.

Hi guys, not to throw a spanner in the works but Jedi aren’t allowed personal possessions perhaps that’s why Obi says he doesn’t recall owning a droid also in the PT in Episode II he uses R4 and in the beginning of episode III. Just my 2 cents anyway, I love your Special Editions that almost wasn’t but then was and they are my go-to even over Adywans 😮, sorry to upset people with that one but it’s true.
