What really pisses me off are the brain-dead morons who think that the moon landings were faked. They make me so mad sometimes that I wish I could reach through my computer screen and punch them really hard, Buzz Aldrin style.

I hate that shit too, and I used to be one of those brain-dead morons in my college days. I wizened up. The only people I know that don't believe in the moon landing are people that hate the government and think they lie all the time, so why wouldn't they lie about the moon landing too? It's specious reasoning to begin with, and then they work backwards to find evidence to support the conclusion.

The fact is that it would be easier to strap a few death-defying test pilots to a rocket and shoot it successfully at the moon than it would be to pull off a conspiracy of that magnitude.

I love the video of Buzz Aldrin punching one of these assholes in the face. It was about time. How would you like someone to yell at you you that your proudest life accomplishment is fake and you're a liar?

I've read recently that mkv is no longer the preferred format for HD video rips, and mp4 is now becoming more prominent. I wonder if Adywan will be reconsidering the mkv release in light of that.

MKV is just a container, not a format. You can put an MP4 in an MKV. The point of MKV is that it allows multiple audio streams and subtitle files to be contained in one file. As far as I know, it will always be the preferred delivery system for HD rips.

It seems to me that if we are jumping ahead in time as Ziz and Imp have said, than the cloud formation behind Slave 1 should have moved a lot more (given the wind speed). As it is now, they're the exact same clouds, in almost exactly the same position at the end of the clip. Even in the 15 seconds of time that elapses on screen between Fett loading Han into his ship and Slave 1 climbing away, I feel that the clouds should've moved further to the right.

pointless opening scene.

Huh? How could it be a pointless scene to show how the engineers sacrifice themselves to create life on other planets, using the black ooze that is shown later in the film? Do you know the myth that inspired the film's title? I mean, I thought the film was pretty bad, but I don't get people who make lazy criticisms like this without backing their opinion up. Explain WHY it was a pointless scene.

Anyone who want a GOOD critique of the film that explains what's wrong with it from someone who knows what he's talking about, check out Gavin Rothery's blog (VFX supervisor of MOON): http://www.gavinrothery.com/my-blog/2012/6/11/so-what-was-wrong-with-prometheus.html

Really? is that what it was supposed to be? all I saw was an alien being drink some black stuff and fall into a waterfall somewhere means absolutely nothing to me, doesn't get explained what it was supposed to mean later in the film either.

Yeah, it DID get explained, and it was totally obvious what was happening in the first scene, with the Engineer's DNA dissolving and reforming as single cells that start to divide. I'm not one to defend the film - like I said, I thought it was pretty bad - but this is one of the few things that was clearly explained in the film.

Regardless of wether it's pointless or not, the opening scene is one of the few jaw dropping beautiful and unique moments in the film.

Agreed. How anyone could think that scene is pointless is beyond me. It's not only central to understanding the Engineer's otherwise ridiculously vague purpose, but it's gorgeous and haunting. One of the most beautiful and surreal sequences Scott has ever filmed.

Enver Gjokaj was, by far, the most impressive actor on Dollhouse. All of his imprints had very distinct touches, and his skill with accents is uncanny. But as Chainsaw and 005 said, he didn't so much impersonate Fran Kranz as channel the guy. Every mannerism and vocal inflection was dead on. Seriously loved it. I wasn't generally wowed by Eliza Dushku. She's hot and everything, and kicks ass, but I think Dollhouse revealed a lack of range in her that I was disappointed by. It didn't help playing against Enver the Versatile.

Everyone needs to stop nit picking. Ady, your work is amazing, I cannot wait for the final product!

Adywan is as close as you can get to a professional while still being a faneditor. I like to think he betters George Lucas in being open to criticism and not just blind praise. Surrounding himself with "yes men" is exactly what made Georgie's prequels so awful (imo).

The clip is incredible. I did notice some strange stuff on the star destroyer in the upper right-hand corner at 0:23ish. The lighting on it seems to be flickering or something, and the motion of the ship itself is a tad wavery. I can overlook the motion, but the shadows are what really threw me off. I hate to nitpick, but that's what we're here for, I suppose :)

Good catch. The shadow glitches on the SD conning tower are there on the Blu-Ray too. Just check out the comparison clip posted earlier. Maybe adywan can fix that.

Watched all of Dollhouse last week. Really enjoyed it, but I agree with those who say that it feels rushed in season 2. Especially Epitaph One and Two, you can really tell they are packing 2 seasons worth of plot into two episodes. How much better it would've been to spread those reveals out, give them room to breathe. I really could've used some more fun, filler-type episodes that played with the concept, too. I enjoyed the episode where Topher imprints Sierra as a gamer and nerd and they celebrate his birthday. More of that kind of stuff really would've helped make the epic moments stand out more. Would've loved some more time spent in the Attic, too.

The Epitaphs comics definitely help flesh out the end of the series, and show what an entire season's worth of episodes would've focused on. It would've been great television.

All in all, I would give Dollhouse an 8/10.

Awesome new clip! Love the inclusion of the third transport sliding out of the hangar in the background as the first transport leaves. So subtle, and one of those things where you go, "Why didn't LFL think of that?" (Like 90% of Ady's changes, tbh!)

And like always with these comparison clips, I see the errors I never noticed before, like Piett's shoulder peeking through the bottom of the view screen matte. You can't unsee these gaffes, making me all the more grateful for SW:R.

Sat in the front. 5.1 mixes really need to be optimized for the theater and not the home. I was in the front row

Why did you sit in the front? Any listening space has a "sweet spot". In a theater, it's where your eyes are level with the middle of the screen. That's where the room reflections are minimal and speaker balance is best. Too close to the front, you're getting reflections bouncing off the big screen.

Does Scott consider any of the sequels canon, though? If he doesn't, then he probably isn't going to go out of his way to make Prometheus mesh with them.

I'm confused. What do the sequels have to do with anything? The tech in Prometheus doesn't even match Alien, which is what ray_afraid is talking about. No one is talking about the sequels.
