Yeah it would have to be around 8.5 GB. Anything under 7 gigs can't rightfully be called "high bitrate". Especially not when it's as colorful and motion-intensive a film as ESB.
That pretty much covers it. If you have the 2004 SE DVDs, you also have the Laserdisc editions, since that's what LFL used for their transfer of the GOUT.
If the XØ Project files are ever released (fingers crossed), I think they will end up being the definitive GOUT. XØ is the reason I signed up here four years ago.

Thanks, Ziggy. Looks like all three of those are on RowMan's set. I added Return of the Ewok to the shelf too. It's a great short film. Hopefully one day the reel will manage to be properly transferred and released. Maybe on the Blu-Ray set... (hopes definitely not up).
Also added Star Tours. I loved that ride as a kid. Plus, the C-3PO rap and Star Wars ballet are laughably bad.
In wanting to build a good archive of OT docs, I recently picked up RowMan's Ultimate Supplemental Collection, but haven't had time to dig into it yet. It looks like it lives up to its title and is mostly "pure", i.e. focused on the production of the OT and not the special editions or prequels.

Jambe, big thanks again for your docs. I can't say enough how awesome I think they are. Love the Kenner toy commercials disc too. Really takes me back to the late 80s and playing with my older cousin, who had all the best Star Wars toys from before my time.

After watching Jambe Davdar's Star Wars documentaries and Deleted Magic Revisited, I've decided I need a few more to feel like I've got the making, and impact, of the OT covered.

Does anyone know if the asteroid that blows up too early has been fixed?
I know the audio is yet to be started, but for the first time I noticed some problems with the sound effect of the MF's cockpit door opening and closing. Sometimes the timing is off, sometimes the audio is missing entirely. Is this being fixed?

Cinemas don't give you access to scene selection or bonus features like alternate audio tracks and subtitles either. I want those features on my home theater collection, though. Yes, I can access subtitles and audio tracks with a button during playback, but if I want to jump to a specific scene, a menu up front is easier than hitting "Skip" 15 times.
