If you look at the HD version of ESB you can clearly see that the wings are slanting outwards on Needa's shuttle

Sorry, but you are slightly wrong. The shuttle designed for ANH was the one used for the bomber. But Needa's shuttle isn't the same as a  TIE Bomber. The wings are placed the opposite way. Instead of slanting inwards, they slant outwards. So every time we see a bomber in ESB, then that is exactly what it is meant to be.

All the TIEs in this shot have been redone. Not only is that bomber flying backwards but it has also been flipped

I'll be hoping to keep all the original files, but it won't be for a 1080p version. As i found out after i had to delete all the original files for ANH, there could well be things that i will need for future SW edits

no, i don't really have any use for these effects.  I have lots of footage taken from above cloud flights from artbeats that i have been using.

Now I know this may be a minor thing to some but to me this is the kind of thing that bugs me about how Lucas has messed up the OT. I had the privilage to see the OT as they were released from day one so the SE and all the subtle changes kinda bug me, but not as much as the coloring   ;-)

I'll never understand why they re-timed this line for the SE. But even in the original version the line comes a little too late as Luke has already reacted to something at this point and turned his head. I'm hoping to retime it so the pilot shouts sho luke turns his head to react.

Another thing i noticed about that scene is that Luke has clearly hurt his arm in the fall from the AT-AT

Something i have forgotten to mention is that the colour pallet for ESB:R will be a lot different to my AVCHD or theatrical reconstruction. The colour correction was never 100% completed when i did those, so you will see a difference in most of the movie, but especially the Hoth scenes

The one thing that makes the troopers looks really fake is when they have their helmets off. Placing a real head on a CG body just didn't work and the ones where they are fully CG their faces looks so fake.  Why the hell didn't they just build a few costumes for these shots?

I'm hopefully going down the real-trooper route when i get to the PT. Also they won't be clones of Jango. Jango will have been hired to recruit the best mercenaries from all over the galaxy for the cloning process so there would be a variety of clones and you can have different voices, which would tie that into the OT where the stormtroopers don't all sound the same

ok, i'm not too happy about being brought into this whole argument and i'm certainly not happy about you posting quotes from PRIVATE emails. You have also taken things i said out of context.

I don't like Macs, never have. Why? Because i refuse to pay such an overblown price for something just because it has the Apple logo. A Mac Pro with a 2.4ghz xeon processor, 6gb ram and a 1tb drive is like £3000. Seriously? I can build/buy a PC with better hardware, faster and more storage for half that price. For the price you pay for a decent PC you can't get a Mac that performs anywhere near that, so PC have surpassed Macs for that one reason.  A lot of the software i use won't run on a mac and i wouldn't be able to do a fraction of the stuff i do on a PC on a Mac without having to pay a small fortune for the software.

Also when you mentioned the monitors i was only correcting you when you thought the ones at your school were 1440p, when their resolution was more likely to be 1440 x 900 if they are widescreen monitors and that would be their highest native resolution compared to my 1080p PC monitor.  I was leaving Mac pro's out of our conversation because of their price range when i was talking about upgrading. I don't count a Mac pro as being a viable option for me to ever use.

I also don't like what Apple have become. I'm fed up of people telling me that i only don't like apple because i either can't afford it or that i am too stupid to know any better. It's become a snobbery thing. It really bugs me when a new product comes out and the Apple fans & reviewers just call them things like "the poor mans ipad" or "the poor mans iphone". Then the whole iphone issue when you would loose your signal was put down to the official explaination that"you are holding it wrong" really made me laugh. And people believed this. Mugs. A lot of people only buy apple products for their status value in todays society. Now notice i said " a lot" and not "all" so i'm not slagging off genuine Apple users.

Windows based PC's and Apples both have their pros and cons. It's not up to anyone to say "you have to have this one". It's a personal and also a professional choice

There won't be a purist HD version

Well they just had AOTC on ITV1HD today. What surprised me is that it's the theatrical version and not the usual altered version that is on the DVD and other HD transmission versions. ROTS is on next week. It will be interesting to see if this one has the missing wipe.

Ghostbusters, you make a good point. With the PT only being 720p so i can alter the portion of the frame that is seen, doing ROTJ:R in 720p would probably be a better option so that the whole saga is consistent. Plus this would give me a better option of using footage from the theatrical versions 9 unless a miracle happens and we get a theatrical version blu-ray or footage)so i can replace that god damn hayden monstrosity at the end. I'm going to be changing the title of the thread because, after a lot of thought, i think 2016 is being a bit optimistic.

I don't have anything left from ANH:R so Everything will have to be done from scratch. I'm hoping i can find the original death star mesh animations but i know i deleted all the project files and everything else

i'm not. i've commandeered my wifes netbook. I grabbed the pic from my  external USB drive that contains the backup of the finished ESB:R shots.

I did tweak some of the CG shots in ANH:R. the dewbacks had a green tint in the shadowed areas so i fixed this to match the real life shadows. A lot of the time the old CG does have a strange coloured tint to the shaded areas so fixing this does go some way to making then blend better.

As i have said before, i tried to place the background buildings in their correct position in respect to the previous SE shot but it really screwed with the flow of the composite. I've added a 3D zoom into this shot and i love the way it turned out. you need to see it in motion really.

I prefer to use words and not fists or guns as anyone that knows me would testify. The legal system would never see what i wrote to you as a threat towards your life because there was nothing there, whereas yours was a definite threat to shoot me.

If someone demand their money back then i am obliged to return it. If you had waited just one or maybe two days you would have started to get my replies to all your emails, but you were impatient and this is the result.

Sorry to get you guys involved in this. I helped this guy out a lot when he got banned. He took too many jokes personally and we spoke about this and that most of the stuff people had said were meant in jest. I also tried to get him to see that it was his own fault that he got banned and that he should stop harassing certain members to try to get him reinstated over here because only the mods have the power to do that and that we are just members. It became a bit much when i was getting constant messages from him. I told him to leave it until after Christmas to contact me but he didn't. I didn't realise i had to stick to a strict time frame and that i should prioritise him over everything else i have going on in my life at the moment.

The olive branch is still there but i guess now he's ignoring me i have his answer.
