I'm surprised that's never been fixed(well probably not given the track record of things that need to be fixed vs stupid additions in each release).

A little more on the Vader/ Ep3 thing that i posted on facebook;

The REAL Darth Vader will be the one that storms the Jedi Temple in Episode 3:Revisited and not Anakin. Now will this be exact same Vader we see in the OT or a version closer to a hybrid of ANH Vader and Ralph McQuarrie's concept? At the moment i'm undecided. But, as you probably know, Vaders costume changed slightly with each film (Original Trilogy), so it would make sense to have a slightly different costume in Ep3. But it won't be the mask/ costume seen in EP3, as i hate that version. It just looks wrong.

Now there is a reason why it will be the suited Vader and not unmasked Anakin, but i'm keeping this under wraps until i get to the prequels just in case what i have planned doesn't work in regards to the story. But events as you know them now in the Official version of EP3 will be having a major rearrangement, so the Obi-Wan/ Anakin duel will most likely be taking place during the middle part of the films instead of towards the end. It will all become clear closer to the time, but this is going to be quite a few years off yet.

I think that it's Gary Mitchell, At first i was thinking more along the lines of Charlie Evans, but i think Mitchell would make a better villain because he was Kirks best friend. Plus Benedict is a little too old to play a 17 year old boy.

If that was just the case, then there would be no problem. But with farter Skywanker, all he is doing is trying to get attention. The constant "gorgeous god-like Hayden" posts are tiresome. he is doing all this crap deliberately. I put him on ignore but it's impossible for me to ignore him when others quote him, plus when i click on "first unread post" it only takes me to the top of the page and not to the first unread post if he was the first to post.

But, on topic, the Star Wars saga was NEVER the saga of Anakin Skywalker. It was always "from the adventures of Luke Skywalker" George could have easily retained the surprise of the reveal, yet he chose not to. It would have been pretty easy too given the fact of how many villains came and went in the prequels. The audience could have believed that Anakin was dead and then along comes Vader, his new apprentice. If vader in the suit had been the one to storm the Jedi Temple then it would have gone along with what Obi-Wan told luke about Vader "hunting down and destroying the Jedi", but without spoiling the ESB revelation. In fact, that's exactly what i'm hoping to achieve in ROTS:Revisited. It's going to be very tough to acheive, but on the plus side this means that there will be a lot less of that whiny, emo, crap actor Hayden in the movie, which can only be a good thing

I really wish i had a Death Star right now, because i know exactly where i would aim it. How many times is he going to post the same crap?

I too became a purist around 2004. I really liked the 1997 special editions ( apart from a few changes) because they were just that; Special Editions. A fun ALTERNATIVE. When the DVD set came out and George announced that these are the only versions of the OT that exist, i grew to dislike them. If he wanted to fix the so called flaws then why didn't he just do that, instead of adding all this pointless crap, like adding Hayden at the end of Jedi, who looks like he is about to butt rape the Ewoks. With George saying that these are the only versions it was a huge "F**k You" to all the original fans that gave him everything he now had and had remained loyal throughout the wilderness years where there was not much Star Wars anything. The final nail in the coffin for me was when the blu-ray set came out and even more questionable changes were added. I can no longer watch those versions. The DVD & Blu-Ray versions just don't exist to me.

If you are going to do a Special Edition, then do it properly, but just keep it as precisely that; a special edition.  At least give some respect to the fans that gave you everything and respect that they [refer the original versions.
