Why does the facebook page show the editdroid LD label, if it's from the ebook?

https://www.facebook.com/rotjeditdroid

Because whoever's running that page thought it was a good idea to post videos from the ebook.

The couple of videos on the page that are from the ebook were sent to us by someone else and we posted them before we discovered they were from the ebook.

Suddenly they're throwing out clips left and right:

The Kiss

The Skiff

Well the chasm swing clip can finally put to rest the urban myth that people saw a version of Star Wars where Luke missed with his first attempt at throwing the grappling hook.

Has anyone attempted to hook their Kindle/ iPad up to a capturing device yet to see if the video extras can be captured?

This really is great, many thanks for sharing! I've also liked the FB page and will keep my eye on it for regular updates.

Shame to hear that the disc had to have work done on it before it started playing, which is really strange; I thought the eBay seller stated that it was "VG" condition?

yeh, we were pretty pissed about that. It's still not 100% fixed yet. But we only really had 2 choices; return it to the seller and demand a refund or try to fix the damage and get at least some footage off there, so we chose the latter. Having at least some footage off there is a lot better than nothing and having it fall back into obscurity.

Ugh. So are we only going to get facebook clips? Probably with the logo all over it?

Just be thankful we can share anything. The disc was in pretty bad shape and unplayable when the guy got it. The video skipped all over the place. plus he only got it delivered today so this  And the logo isn't that intrusive anyway. They're just facebook clips. This was just a quick capture. How much we will be able to share, i really don't know yet.

We now have our hands on this laserdisc. Had some problems playing it at first due to surface damage but that's been fixed. There is 29mins 52seconds of footage on it. Different takes and various angles from the Yoda hut scene and apparently stuff that wasn't in the final film. The audio is supposed to be pretty good and clean. I'll let you know more as soon as possible (it's with our guy in the USA at the moment so i haven't had a chance to see any of it yet).

The Ebooks have just gone on sale. I'm a little reluctant to purchase these. Not only are they almost as much as i paid for the hard cover versions of the books, but it is unclear if the video content can be played on their kindle PC app. If anyone gets any of the books can you please try it on their free PC app to see if the extra content will play? (i don't have a kindle or ipad)

Darth Vader TV Specials set for 2014
Time

At the European Brand Licensing Show today a brochure was supposedly given out that contains a few interesting titbits. Having Ep7 set for a summer release (and not the reported November release), but it's the Darth Vader TV specials that have grabbed everyones attention. Now, will these be live action or just more lego ones, or even a bit of both?

Sorry folks another problem in the command center.

The line "launch Patrols"

A totally different line is mouthed a couple of seconds earlier after leia says "we have no choice" and the audio line is never actually said it is inserted audio.

Does anyone know what the line is Rieekan was actually meant to say via an unedited script???

I guess this has been there since the original theatrical release.

*edit*

He does actually say launch patrols it's just totally out of sync

Rough mock up of what I am trying to say about command center.

1st original and then repeated rough audio edits.

You're still seeing something that isn't there. "Launch patrol" is NOT out of sync. Look closely when he turns and says the line. It's clearly what he is saying. The bit where he nods & mouths something  is just an acknowledgement towards what leia has said.

well, seeing as how this thread has been somewhat high jacked from ESB:R to killing off Lando, i might as well ask, Adywan, (since I'm assuming he'd perish in the Battle of Endor) if he might be killed at the lowest point of the battle to show how hopeless it seems for the rebels, or if he sacrifices himself to blow up the death star, or if you're undecided (or perhaps just wanna keep it a surprise).

It's looking like it will be a sacrifice to destroy the death star. There has been a lot of talking going on behind the scenes and we've been scouring through many of Billy's films and audio to see what sound bites we could use, going through all footage of Lando in the falcon to see what can be trimmed so it could be used in a different scene and, after a few trials, we think we've nailed something that will work.

why do them CGI - get out into the yard and catch some bugs and put em on film ;-)

When people are already complaining that there are creatures from our world on dagobah already? Adding more real life ones would start the ultimate shit storm, (well that and the fact that i'm going to kill off Lando of course)

I had a great visual in my mind of the scene with Artoo and Luke in the camp scene before they meet yoda. Ady could add a bunch of bugs swarming around that red/yellow glowing power generator Luke plugs artoo into for power.

That's a great idea! Wouldn't be hard to do and would really enhance the environment.

Not really that hard, well apart from designing all the bugs, building the Cg models and texturing then the rigging and animating of each creature separately (just think how many times that needs to be done with a load of bugs without AI software)

Not really a problem with the voice. 3 different helmets, 3 different voice boxes. problem solved ;)

JEJ in ANH spoke a lot faster because he was trying to keep up with dave prowse's speedy style of speaking. When it came to the other 2 films he spoke at his normal pace
