Its actually the same footage, but they used a digital replacement for the arms etc. If you look closely you can see parts where the tracking & blending doesn’t quite work. The part where he breaks from his restraints is a good example.

We saw a lot of familiar creatures in the PT, ANH & ROTJ mainly because of Tatooine. TFA had all new worlds, just like ESB. The only two films in the saga so far that don’t feature that planet. Personally i love seeing new designs and i hope they stick with this direction.

In the OT we get introduced to Snowtroopers and Scout troopers after ep4. So, did you have a problem with those, or is this just because they are something new? Because, if you didn’t have a problem with the introduction of those, then you are being a bit of a hypocrite.

The design is pretty much a pre cursor to the scout trooper, and NOT the stormtrooper. So, instead of comparing the stormtrooper / clone trooper helmets as a way to prove your point, you should compare the shoretrooper/ scout trooper instead.

The new troopers fit in perfectly with the universe. The designs are very reminiscent of the old concept designs done for Star Wars.

Plus the blood is back on the rebels forehead in this one. Most probably they took it out for that shot because it was being shown during the Olympics

I only popped in because i was told that the forum software had been changed, so i wanted to check out if the ignore function had been restored along with a proper editor, but, although the layout is now much better, those functions are still missing (along with the ability to edit the thread title) so i will not be returning.

However, I have definitely been thinking the same thing, lately. Though it’s not related to the specific incident you describe, TFA brought in a huge influx of trolls and bigots. That’s partly the reason i need to take a step back away from this site. I’ve got a lot going on at the moment which is causing me a lot of stress. People have waited way too long for me to finish this and i don’t want to keep disappointing them, especially when its so close to being finished. It is all getting on top of me. Coming here used to be a way for me to de-stress. To have fun and discuss topics with like minded people. But that seems to have gone lately. It’s one big argument after another and not in the fun way. I’m finding that its all just got too much for me and that i have started to find the slightest thing is making me feel angry and aggressive towards certain people. That is not me and i really don’t mean to be that way. The last time i felt this way was when my parents died and i snapped at the slightest thing and fell out with people who really didn’t deserve to be spoken to like i did at the time. If i don’t leave now i could end up saying or doing something i regret. Maybe if i can sort out the problems in my life i can go back to the way i was and not let all the crap happening here get to me so much. But something needed to be done.

But the last thing i want is for people to leave this site just because i’m stepping back. Hopefully the crap will stop. I love this site. i have had many great times here with everyone. A few bad apples wouldn’t usually make me feel the need to leave, but it has become just too much. Jay and all the mods here have always been nothing but fair and i apologise for my recent outburst. Something needed to be said though. But today will be my last day here. At least for the foreseeable future. I’d rather remember this site for all the good times and great people than for the crap thats been going on lately. It has nothing to do with newbies coming to the site, but more about the attitudes. we have had new members coming thoughout my time here and 99% of the time they have been welcomed with open arms. But now it seems like a majority of the latest influx is only here to be assholes. At least, in the past, when someone had gone too far with something they have said, they have apologised and let things move on. Hell, there have been many fallings out yet most seem to be able to be resolved quite quickly and things just moved on. now it seems that its one fight after another that just escalates and never dies. Not the best place for me to be right now.

so, i’m going to step back, finish this bottle of Southern Comfort and prey to vader ( i’m not religious 😉 ) that i can sort this financial shit out sooner rather than later and start feeling myself once again ( and not in an imperialscum doing his taxes sort of way 😉 )

It is with regret that i am leaving this site. I have enjoyed many years here but, with all the crap happening here lately with certain members and newbies trolling, thinking its ok to call people “retarded” ( amongst other things), it is no longer a fun place for me to be. I need to either leave or just take a VERY long break ( i suspect that it will be the former after my latest outburst to certain idiots on this site to which i apologise to Jay and the mods, but i had just had enough of those idiots).

With ESB:R being very close to completion i will either come back to let everyone know that it is complete and ready to go or make sure that you are all informed.

Thank you to everyone that has supported me and my projects over the years

My best friend of about 10 years has asperges as well as a couple of other issues and regularly tells other people not to worry about offending him and pokes fun at himself too.

TFA in the fan fiction section? If that site isn’t a joke then it sure should be.

The problems with the new theme are all down to the mixing. the timing is also slightly different between TFA and ANH so joining the two together without a noticeable audio cut is going to be tough. I’d been playing about with the TFA theme for my own personal TFA edit and did some remixing to get it to sound more like the other episodes themes without having to reuse one of the original pieces of music.
