I can understand it’s taken you days to make these videos but I’m not so good with computers or the different types of programs. It took me a while to figure out how to do a simple (video capture from DVD) and edit out the black bars top and bottom.

But this should be a simple thing to do and I’m just hopeless at this part. Just how, (user-friendly) is this file encoding system that you’ve been using because I’ve had (0 hours time) on it.

So once the file is saved to the pc what program shall I use?
Do I use DivX player
Do I use DivX converter
Do I use Mega manger
Do I use Windows Media
Do I use Power DVD

Which one of these shall I use, thank you?

The files i posted are totally user friendly. Just use windows media player to play the files. this works for both the xvid and mpeg2 versions

Just the 2004 DVd for the video and the line "yes i bet you have" taken from the deleted scenes on the Behind the Magic cd
Originally posted by: KurganOne critique is that Vader's eyes are harder to see now that they're black instead of red. There's slight wobble in a few places (not as bad as the Emperor's slugs, but I can still tell they were altered). And there's a fuzzy outline on the "satellite dish" on the Falcon the docking bay. Oh well, probably too late to fix that, and it's probably not going to be that noticeable on a regular tv set...

I can guarantee that there is no wobble on Vaders eyes because nothing was overlayed. Only the levels were changed. and as for the Falcons satellite dish then the outline is due to the fact that i have used a very low bitrate for the MPEG2 encoding. Its only 2000kb/s whereas it would usually be an average of between 5000 - 6000kb/s, which could also explain the wobble that you are seeing on vaders eyes.

Its still uploading after yet another failure.

JediTemple70mm, you have me so confused as to what you are doing that my head hurts. This has to be the most problematic clip i have ever posted.

JediTemple70mm, which file are you attempting to watch. If its the main clip then you have unpacked it first haven't you? If its the extra clip then it isn't packed and you should have no problem playing it. If you can play DVDs on your pc then you should be able to play mpeg2 files too. Just open them up in windows media player. if you need a codec it should say

adywan

Mate I swear to god, I’ve just upload the file suggested by Tubes and now I can’t reopening the files where you posted them. This isn’t my night.

You are doing something seriously wrong here. you shouldn't have to access the files where i posted them again. you should have already downloaded the files (saved) to your PC. If you are trying to open the files direct from the links then its no wonder you are having problems.

The problem is, I have part 1 and 3. I cannot watch the last part because Stuffit wonders where rar 2 is.

Yousendit is my service of choice. No download limits. With ady's blessing, I can upload the rars I have on that.

I thought that yousendit had a limit of 25 downloads for each file?

just added new url for part 3

Ok, Here's the full set for you to download, plus something extra. The extra clip is again low bitrate MPEG2 with 5.1 audio but this one is only about 80% finished audio. Still some sound FX & filters to apply and the mix isn't quite right yet too.

here's the first file:
Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clip rar 1 - megaupload
Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clip rar 2 - megaupload
Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clip rar 2 - megashares.com
Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clip rar 3 - megaupload
Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clip rar 3 - rapidshare

Me thinks he doth protest too much. lol

Strange how all of a sudden he changes his style of writing as soon as he is accused of being Zigfried. As if that's going to throw us of the scent. You seem to know all about Zigfried even though you only joined these boards yesterday. Has your mummy been breast feeding you too long and you don't know what maturity is? Get off her tit and get a life. Idiot

Yeh, i deleted the files , not only because there were a couple of glitches in the xvid, but the quality was not that great. I'm having major problems getting this mpeg2 version up there. it failed again. i'm using megauploads mega manager software now so fingers crossed. Doesn't look like i'm going to get any sleep tonight.

Well i'm using a different upload now. No split files and the speed is twice as fast as before so should only take about 55 mins

I'm pretty sure that blowing up Tatooine isn't part of my edit.
There's 30 mins left of the upload so shouldn't be too long now

What do you think?

Yeh, that shot bugged me.I did try to fix it but unfortunately the result wasn't good enough. I might give it another go once the rest of the work is done.

What crossfade? i just checked the file and there is no crossfade. there's a minor encoding glitch at around that time but no crossfade. are you sure its at that timecode?

I'm uploading a better quality Mpeg2 file with AC3 audio now. It still has a low bitrate (2,003kb/sec but still looks great)but it was rendered using CCE so much better quality than the xvid. Its going to take about 1hr 45 minutes to upload (its about 270mb) so if you can wait a bit then i would get this mpeg2 file instead of the other one posted.

Thats weird. I guess megaupload doesn't like underscore and removed it. I also just noticed that mose eisley is the name winrar created but the actual clip is spelt correct. Oh well.

Ok, here it is. The video is a lower bitrate than i would have liked but a necessity to keep the file size down, especially with it being around 15 minutes long. It is XVID & has the new AC3 5.1 audio mix as it will appear in the final version so crank up your surround system. The audio mix is, on this clip, 99% complete. there are a few fx that need to be dropped in here and there but thats about it. The cantina now has more ambience and the music has been tweaked so it sounds more like you are in the cantina and not just an additional music track. Flipped sound Fx have been fixed and i've also managed to sync Doctor Evazan's lines a bit better than it was originally.

EDIT: XVID links deleted- better quality mpeg2 file uploading now. Plus xvid had glitches)

I'm uploading the mos eisley section now. I have had to slit it into 2 rar files because of the filessize (its only just over 100mb but megaupload always stalls on me if i try to upload anything larger than 50mb, so i had to split it) so you will need both to unpack and watch it. I'm uploading part 1 to rapidshare and part 2 to megaupload so you won't have to wait to download the second rar file. Should only be about 30 minutes max

A damn pointless thread just started to provoke a reaction. If these are indeed your opinions at least provide some examples of why you believe this to be true not just post some chav like crap talk and not expect to get slammed (spouting the "freedom of speech" crap don't wash either)..

Your posts speak volumes about today's education system. maybe you belong to the same squad as Remixerboss
