Not too much new info, but interesting none-the-less.

(At least we have confirmation that Saw is first seen on Jedha. And the attacks on Jedha seen in the trailer and BTS video is therefore most likely one of his “terrorist” attacks.)

O wait, that wouldn’t work either. Ep VI was about 30 years ago and Palpatine died then so he can’t be her father. Unless they are saying the sequels take place 19 years after VI. People age badly in these films. Obi Wan and Vader look pretty bad in IV-VI for only being 20 years after III. Maybe they’re gonna do that again and say Luke is only 19 years older and he looks like hell anyway.

It is canon that 30 years pass between ROTJ and TFA.

There’s been a lot of speculation lately after the BTS footage was released that we might get a flashback to when Jyn was younger. It could be that she meets Saw in this scene(s)?
(This would explain both the change in hair and the darker beard. And it’s a very cheap way to make the actor look younger without any fancy make-up effects.)

Has anyone else noticed that Saw Gerrera looses his hair between the various clips shown in the trailer(s)?

(source)

So either RO takes place over a longer period of time than previously assumed, or Saw looses his hair at some point for some reason.
The top photo is from one of the new trailer trailers, but it’s hard to tell where he is. Most people see to assume that he’s first seen on Jedha, which is most likely where he is on the second photo, but maybe he shows up some time earlier.

The cartoon segment however might be released one day as a bonus feature (properly at least).

It already has.

Sure, but only as a hidden easter egg. That’s why I wrote “properly”.

I thought it was on the Blu set in plain sight…but I don’t remember for sure.

So I was just browsing Ebay and I found this

It’s one of the original animation cells of the animated segment from the Holiday Special

Is this a cel or a drawing on paper?
Shouldn’t it be colored if it is a used animation cel?

Just checked the listing again, it’s a cel drawing.

Strange. I wonder why it’s colorless then?

Offically sanctioned Ewok firing a blaster? If so, we’ve come a long way from Lucasfilm forcing Topps to remove a knife from an Ewoks hand back in the 90’s.

I dunno, this looks like fan art to me, either way it’s pretty cool to see Ewoks fighting with modern weapons.

As for anything official (well, Legends anyway), there were some Ewoks at the battle on Coruscant in Dark Empire. There’s no shot of them actually firing any blasters, but I doubt they were equipped with bow and arrow.

However, this got me wondering what other art/fan-art I might find of Ewoks with “modern” weapons, and I was not disappointed;

The one on the right is apparently Legends-canon.

Yeah, but why not use ships of equal scale? Even bad 80’s Scott Baio movies did it better! 😉

Now that would have made a lot more sense to me.
Sure. it’s still kind of ugly and weird-looking, but it’s obviously a SW/ST mash-up. Unlike the actual CD cover which kind of try to hide it’s kit-bashing. Sure, to a SW fan it’s obviously a speeder-bike, but there does seem to be at least some attempt at obscuring the origin of the parts.

Here’s some more info:

Also, if anyone wants to get one of these, they’re actually pretty cheap!

I clicked on the link to the company who made this, “Goldies”, and it seems like all they do is release famous music. Everything from Elvis, to Bob Marley. I even recognize the box art from their Tommy Dorsey and Louis Armstrong collections from my mothers music collection so CD’s from this company must have been been readily available in Norway (which is where I live) back in the early 2000’s.

I own something similar. It’s all Star Wars music, but they’re strange, simplified arrangements that sound almost like midi files. It’s a 3 disc set with five pieces each. I saw it for 99 cents at the charity shop and immediately bought it because Lapti Nek and Ewok Celebration were on the track listing.

Mine also has some really bizarre arrangements. F.ex. amidst all the classical sci-fi movie themes (e.g. music from E.T., Blade Runner, Back to the Future, Star Trek, etc.) is the main theme from a 2001 Canadian-German film called “Ice Planet”. Not only is this film rated 3.9 on iMDb, but it is listed before Back to the Future.
It also list “Venus - The Bringer of Peace” which I googled and and far as I can tell this was never even used in any sci-fi films. So apart from the space-related name I can’t really tell why it’s there.
I also find the SW one’s to be somewhat weird. It keeps mentions a “The Empire Strikes Back - Main Theme” and a “Return of the Jedi - Main Theme”. Would that just be the regular SW theme?

So I discovered (or rather re-discovered) this little oddity when I was rummaging through some old boxes full of old stuff that I had as a kid.

I find this thing fascinating. I’m pretty sure it’s not officially licensed by whoever owns all this music (There’s no Lucasfilm or 20th Century Fox logo on it, etc.).
It’s so bizarrely random. It’s called “Star Wars”, but has the wrong font, the choice of music is completely random, and I can’t wrap my head around that cover art.

I mean it’s clearly a ROTJ speeder-bike with a bunch of randomly kit-bashed parts added to it. And the main body in the back looks like the Voyager (Star Trek) only up-side-down. But why though?
Seriously, what is this supposed to be? It’s in space, yet it has handlebars.

Has anyone else seen this?
(Judging by the inclusion of TPM music, but nothing from ATOC, as well as including some music from a film called “Ice Planet” made in 2001, not to mention that I had this as a kid in the very early 2000’s, I’d say this must have been made in either 2001 or 2002.)

EDIT: Here’s the music list on the back; https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20535561/SW weird music collection (music list).jpg
