FYI guys, when we start using the new board software, I'm going to require that everyone use thumbnail links instead of posting full-res images. Until then please be mindful of those on dial-up connections and those using low-res monitor settings.

That said, I'm seeing some great work in here lately from Coov, THX, and others. Keep it up!

That can be edited out. Not an entirely difficult process.

I'd be more concerned about whether the death scene will actually work being put back in considering she is never mentioned at all leading up to it and then all of a sudden she's there on the ship.

Almost finished getting the PAL DVD off a.b.starwars. Can't wait to check this out this week and see what everyone's been talking about.

I'm happy to say that this will be my first attempt at burning DL as soon as my new BenQ DW1640 burner gets here a few days from now.

Really, there are very few differences between the theatrical and current DVD versions of TPM and AOTC. It would be very easy to create theatrical versions if one were so inclined.

Yes, a sub-forum in Preservation for non-Star Wars related films would certainly be ideal. If not, perhaps a whole separate forum altogether. I agree that it's sort of crazy with everything in here now.

Very nice menus tellan, similar to some of my ANH menu experiments. One suggestion though: I don't know if it's your test file or not, but the audio for the main menu sounds a lot quieter than the rest of the menus. You might want to double check and make sure everything is normalized throughout the whole menu system - and at the same level as the movie for that matter. Otherwise great job!

Anyone see Clinton Portis sporting those horrible looking sunglasses for the media? Talking about how he's going to run all over the Broncos defense on Sunday.

I think he'll be singing a different tune after the game when he's held to less than 100 yards. If Tomlinson couldn't do it, Portis certainly isn't going to.

I've played the Mike Tyson version a million times - beaten it a lot, lost to Tyson a million times and I've never seen that happen. Most likely just a rumor. (Also, Mr. Dream does the exact same things that Tyson does. It's the same guy just with a different head and skin color.)

I'm with you Sess. I get annoyed sometimes when I see people's sig pics are overly large, or cause side-scrolling (anything over 800px wide). I've been on forums where people's sig pics were 1024x1024px and for the life of me I can't understand how people don't find that annoying. Most people here keep their pics pretty small, and that's a good thing. Kev's is about the largest size (heightwise) I'd like to see. Anything larger than that is just too distracting in my eyes (don't even get me started on animated gifs). But this stuff's not really up to me....

I use Sonic Scenarist, which, in itself is a very hard program to master. I'm not really up to date on what all else is out there these days. Something like Adobe Encore would suit your needs I think. I'm sure someone else could list a few noob-friendly programs.

As s7en explained, these subs are guaranteed to be off on any other bootleg or official version of ROTS because the video on this version kept skipping and replaying parts twice.

You would have to use a program like Subtitle Workshop (google it) to resync the subs at those particular points. To add to an already authored DVD, you'd have to unpack the VOBs, add the subs, then re-author it.

McIntosh makes some of the best electronics in the world. That particular LD player is phenomenal, but I have read reviews in the past that say the top Pioneer models (X0, X9, S9) are better. Nothing with the name McIntosh on it is less than outstanding though, and that player is no exception.

I've been reading through these subs and they are a riot! Anakin is always referred to as "Allah Gold," the Sith are " the West," and the Jedi Council is, of course, the "Presbyterian Church." Can't wait to actually watch the film with these.
