You're just like all those reporters covering the T.O. incident. Trying to make up a story where there is no story.

And just so you know, if we ever figured out who stole the TC print from us and uploaded it, we certainly wouldn't go telling everyone who it was. I tried to make light of the situation above, but I don't think we need to turn this thing into some sort of conspiracy theory. Just let it go.

We're using the DC X0 capture, not the GOUT. SC colors are truer to the original film, yes. But the video is CLEANER on the DC. Colors can be corrected.

The album comes out tomarrow. Apparently it's a dualdisc with the album on one side and extras on the other. Extras include acoustic versions of some songs, 6 music videos, making-of stuff, and 5.1 audio. Sounds pretty cool.

That video rocked. Er, well, it didn't really rock, it was more like a white suburbia rap anthem. Damn hilarious though. Much better than "Don't Download This Song".

Is this song a parody of another song? I didn't recognize it.

Edit: Found it. It's a parody of Ridin' Dirty by Chamillionare. I think Al did a great job of making fun of the guy dancing behind him the whole time. The guy in the original video kinda dances like a fag.

Just a couple of side notes:

Two days ago when Raul started his thread, I locked it because the conversation was going around in circles, and until he had anything to prove, I felt it didn't need to turn into another flame-fest like the last thread did. I even went into both threads and deleted all references to Raul's "source" in case he was actually telling the truth and he was incriminating whoever was leaking the info. Yesterday, Moth3r pointed out that Raul was also posting under the name "RichardPX3". So at this point, we realized that not only was Raul bitching about and flaming himself, but he was trying to blame us for censorship when in reality I was only trying to keep him from potentially getting someone at Lucasfilm fired. It's obvious now that Raul never had any legit "source" and that he was making up the whole thing.

If he really had actual screenshots of an anamorphic OOT from a brand new transfer, he wouldn't be saying things like "see, they're trying to censor me, that proves I'm right, I don't even need to show you the pics". No, this attention-whore would have posted them to spite us and get the recognition he so desired.

Good riddance Raul.

No Raul, I don't think you get it. You've changed your intentions because people are now on to you. You're going to sit there and claim that because of people like me, you're not going to share any of the glorious screenshots you claim you will be getting. People that do that are called frauds. They panic when people start seeing through them and they are denied the spotlight they so desired. Well, I'm not going to give you any attention anymore either. You can go to TFN with your "insider info" for all I care.

Did you not just tell everyone that this board was "not mature enough" to handle your seemingly too-good-to-be-true OOT claims? If I'm locking a thread because I don't want anymore flamming until you have something to show, how is that siding with the "hotheads"? People are naturally skeptical until they see something with their own eyes. If I found Jimmy Hoffa's body in my back yard and told everyone, do you really think anyone would believe me no matter how much I described what I saw? No, of course nobody would believe me, and I bet people like Cable would be flaming the hell out of me until I posted some pictures or something. You could very well be the real deal Raul, but you could also be a 400-pound hermaphrodite internet predator making up stuff for the hell of it. The only way we'll ever know is if you can back up what you are claiming.

I'm sorry you feel that way Raul. But I don't think you realize how much trouble you can be causing for the employee who is allegedly leaking this information. I locked your thread because of what happened in the last one, and I didn't want to see it continue until you had something worthwhile to share with everyone. You might take note that I went to great lengths in both threads to delete any reference to who your source was, because that is precisely the information that gets people at Lucasfilm in trouble. It isn't necessary to share that information with us, and it's better that people know as little as possible about where leaked information comes from.

Do what you want though.

This may come off as shady and suppressive to a lot of you, but I am going to lock this thread for the time being. If Raul is the real deal and has legitimate material to share, I will not prevent that material from getting leaked. On the other hand, by naming names, he could cost someone at Lucasfim their job. I don't want to see that happen either.

I will welcome PM's from anyone who disagrees with my decision, but until myself and the other mods decide what we want to do, this thread will be closed.

Please do not start another thread about this.

Someone posted somewhere that Lucas saved all the original bluescreen shots, which enebled them to recomposite all those shots again for the Special Edition. It was noted on Starwars.com about a year and a half ago that for the shots of Ben talking about Vader in the ROTS trailer, they pulled one of them from the original dalies shot in '76. Lucas is a known pack-rat of all of his film sources. You don't think that Lucas has the original film negatives, or at least high-generation prints of the original films (or both) sitting in his vault in San Francisco? Please. Mverta claims to have personally seen hi-def OOT source material that has already been transfered. To believe Lucasfilm when they say that the D1 LD master tape is the best source of the OOT they have is just naive.

Or you could make a list of every shot in the film that has the ghosting, take those shots from a high quality laserdisc capture of a pre-THX version like the Japanese Special Collection, clean up said shots, extract the luma and combine it with the chroma from the GOUT shots, color correct it, and edit the finished product back into the film...

About the opening crawl...

If you watch it closely, you can see that the stars wobble like hell, but the text doesn't. one might immediately assume that it is a digital recreation, but if you look at the crawl from Empire of Dreams, it does the exact same thing. Now I don't know if anyone knows for sure where the EOD crawl came from, but if anyone can say for a fact that it was a direct film capture, I'll believe that the GOUT crawl is the real deal plus some minor cleanup and color correction.

Raul, I've seen dozens of other people over the years claiming to be some sort of "insider" and promising the world. Hardly any of them ever produce anything and if they do it's either something they made up to get their fifteen minutes of fame, or they drop off the face of the earth altogether. You will be hard pressed to win over someone like me with mere promises.

Now if you back up everything you've boasted about so far, that will be a completely different story...
