I got bored looking at the forums yesterday.

Then I decided,

I'd like to contribute something to the OOT community.

But even though it's top-notch,

My computer will not cooperate with video files other than game and SWF.

Then I thought:

YES! That'd be perfect! And it hasn't even been done before!

And so, I proceed to create:

PAINT WARS (a.k.a. Crappy Star Wars)

A recreation of the Original Star Wars Trilogy using extremely sloppy MSPaint bitmaps.

In a comic-book like fashion.

And it shall be posted exclusively here on Originaltrilogy.com.

10 Images per post.

When finished, someone could make a slideshow of it synced with the movie audio.

Send me a PM requesting caption removal.

I shall upload the first 10 images in a few minutes...

I had a new dream about Star Wars last night, and this time it was about Episode I. Right before the Podrace begins, Jabba's walking into his suite, and Bib greets him while a chef tosses Jabba a giant salamander as a snack. Jabba throws it back at him, saying he wants a frog instead. Then suddenly he pukes out a frog and decides to eat that. Then he goes up to a girl Hutt and talks with her about the race. What's really funny was, Jabba actually had a beard, and he was the only one in the suite speaking Huttese, whilst everyone else spoke English. Then he walks out to the balcony, and the movie proceeds as usual.

Let's hear about all the dreams you've had about Star Wars.

Here's mine:

1. I had a dream where I saw a very, very early prototype version of the Original Star Wars. The message "A LUCASFILM LIMITED Production" was completely screwed up. Instead it said "A NGOIUWENP OWEJTNE Ebnsetubiw" or something like that. Then after "A Long time ago" blah blah blah, this is what happened: I saw a fireball orbit a planet, then zoom in on another planet, when a BLUE Star Wars logo flew on the screen. Then the original opening crawl appears, blue instead of yellow.

2. The part in ANH where Luke tells Obi-Wan he wants to become a Jedi. I had a weird dream where it was a bit different: When Ben says: You would have been killed too." Instead of "I wanna come with you", Luke says something that indicates that he's gone insane, then he goes off on a killing spree. Obi-Wan goes after him. But Luke only killed two things in his "killing spree": A horse and a Jawa (Like I said, it was a weird dream). Obi-Wan finally catches Luke in the middle of the desert, and they battle with lightsabers. Obi-Wan beats him (he doesn't hurt him, but he at least got him to come to his senses). Then Luke says "I wanna come with you" and the movie proceeds as usual.

3. I had a dream where I myself was walking with Luke, Han and Leia in Cloud City. Leia's hair is actually unbraided. We go into an elevator, and Leia is worried that something bad's about to happen, and Luke tries to calm her down. It was a very fuzzy dream, so I don't remember what happened after that.

4. I had a dream where I was in this basement digging through this stuff, and I find a copy of Star Wars on a very strange video format, something called CLD. I looked on the back and it said: "Because CLD cannot support 2.35:1 aspect ratio, as it was originally presented, Star Wars has been transferred in 1.77:1 aspect ratio, similar to the teaser for The Empire Strikes Back". Weird, isn't it?

5. I had a dream where I was watching the 1977 Bootleg, and I actually saw VISUAL changes! i.e. When the Tuskens mount their Banthas, the image is zoomed out and the sky is sunset. I woke up and wanted to go in the Preservation Forum and ask for a copy of this, but then I had to tell myself it was only a dream. After all, I've got the bootleg myself.

All right, prove it's fake.

Ricar: You lucky son-of-a-bitch. It's the opening to the Thief and the Cobbler. I wrote the text and translated it into Portugeuse. I wanted to translate it to Japanese, but it didn't look right in the forums, and Spanish would have been too easy, so I settled with Portugeuse. But what's funny is, when you translate it back to English, it's not perfectly translated.

I am a huge game fan and think that games are better than movies. Sorry, I just had to get that across.

Anyway, I found out there was a PC game based on the Thief and the Cobbler. Unfortunately, this is the only screenshot I could find of it:

According to the screenshot, the game was a point-and-click adventure in the tradition of Monkey Island. Even though I deemed MI boring because I didn't know where to go, I'd like to give this game a shot, because I know how the movie progresses and it should be a breeze.

So does anyone here have any more information about this game? And if possible, where I can download it?

I was recently watching a 1992 Pan-n-Scan OOT VHS tape of SW, and when I got to the Vade-Obi duel, Vader's sword was clearly pink! And it wasn't even vibrating either. And you people are complaining about this on the 2004 DVDs when this problem persisted 10 years ago! I don't have a picture to prove it, but if you've got a copy (which you probably do) see for yourself...
