I’m kinda of surprise we haven’t heard of a TLJ regraded announcement. Last year around this time he released RO just days after the digital release. Leading up a couple weeks before releasing RO he did v2.6 updates of ANH and TESB. Even back in December leading up to TLJ in theaters he did V3’s of the PT. Id figure he would have done something similar. Like having ESB 2.6 with Ian McDiarmid, ROTJ 2.6 with the choice or Yub Nub or Victory Celebration. He also spoke of a V2 of TFA a couple months back. I’m not trying to sound impatient or anything, its just he usually has a regrade announcement just days after it’s release.

I would love to see an a fan edit extended cut of TLJ. The one’s mostly finished like Luke In Mourning, Not Much Of A Sewer, It’s Kind Of Weird You Recorded That (I notice the last shot you see a little bit of BB8’s puppeteer), Caretaker Sizes Up Rey, CareTaker Village Sequence (Bagpipes exist in the Star Wars Universe!!!), Mega Destroyer Incursion (I realize the film version is the alternate shorter version but you could keep both versions which is what I would like to see. I find it intresting as a whole extended scene.) Their’s shot that would have to reorder but in my mind it could work. The Shot of Kylo on The Bridge could be one or two place. The first in between where Finn and Rose are telling Poe they found a codebreaker and have the Shot of Ren looking over the bridge then Rey getting in the escape pod. The 2nd place would be after Flacon escape pod is launch and heads towards Snoke ship, the Ren Shot could be put there. I prefer the 1st Now for the Finn, Rose and The Code Breaker infiltration. Keep the original scene just cut out “Almost There” (That’ll come in later) everything else plays out. After Snoke’s line “Young Rey, Welcome”, this is how I would go about the rest of the deleted scene. Go right into the scene where the elevator door opens with the 3 of them. You’d have to cut the BB8 shots being theirs a trash bin over him and he doesn’t have it when he peeps behind the legs. The only way I could see it working if you’d keep it, is putting it before they exit the laundry room. The shot of Finn putting the bin over BB8 would be cut being he’s obviously already done that. In the deleted scene he say’s Almost There like in the original version but with a different background. After Finn say’s “Right around the corner.” you can put the part where BB8 runs into the wall from the movie.) Finn and Rose Go To Where They Belong being the last. Now the one that wont work due the most shots having pre-visuals would be the Alternate Opening, Paige’s Gun Jams, Extended Fathier Chase (Who really wants this one?), Rose Bites The Hand That Taunts Her, Phasma Squeals Like A Whoop Hog (I love this Alternate Scene better then what we got in the film and hope to see someone complete the visuals and render it up), lastly Rey and Chewie On The Falcon. I know theirs fan extended projects of the Star Wars films and hope someone tackles a Extended Ep.8. I know I’m probably am not the only one who would like it?

Hey kk650, very happy to see the V3’s of the PT complete. I absolutely love the new regrades. The Prequels look better then ever. I have a question which is a curious one. Beforehand you went the 1920x828 for 1 & 3, all the OT is 1920x824, and 7 & RO 1920x804. Now comes where my curiosity comes in. I notice when minimizing the full screen for the new AOTCV3 I noticed the black bars. Previously AOTCV2 was 1920x820 which is close to the 828 of the PT. I checked the properties for V3 and you went on full 1080p well technically 1088p according to the properties. So will it be like this for the rest of the series moving forward or just something you’re trying for AOTC ?

Hey KK650, I gave a lil watch of the climax from duel of the fates til the end . I love the deep colors for the new regrade. At least to me the colors had deep quality. The skin tones are defiantly a improvement as well, a lot more natural. I took comparisons using mpc-hc of V2 & V3. Great work, looking forward to the rest.

I’m starting a 4 film Marathon tomorrow 1,2,3, & RO with your regrades and Thursday 4,5,6, & 7 before going to see TLJ that night. Can’t wait for the rest of series V.3 of the PT, V2.6’s of the OT and your V2 of TFA when made available. Keep up the fantastic work.

Rogue One and The Force Awakens are too new though so they are not allowed on Myspleen as far as I know.

Well Hal 9000’s The Force Awakens Restructed is on the spleen. Also a faneditor name DigModiFicaTion has his TFA fanedit (Heir To The Force), as well his RO fanedit (Rise Of The Rebellion) is on the spleen as well. So I think it’s safe to assume they’re allowing Force Awakens and Rouge One on the site as of now. To them Disney stuff is “on a case by case basis!” So I’d go that route to see if they will allow. I don’t see why they wouldn’t, having allowed what I stated up top on their site.

Very excited to hear this and cant wait to see them KK650!!! I have a question concerning the OT regrades, are you gonna have 2.6’s of ESB 2.6 ( with Ian Mcdiarmid as Emperor) and Rotj 2.6 as well???

I’ve notice that for years. After reading about this and recently watching ESB grindehouse, the moment Luke Jumps down is when you start the reel change . So back then you had that reel change show him not popping up.

Hey KK650, just checked out Raiders Regraded. I loved it. I was wondering have you given thought to do a regrade treatment to Temple and Crusade??? It would be cool to see. Can’t wait for your other regrades.

ZigZig, I assume that merging thing you call PaNUp is pretty much more or less rotoscoping? Which if it is, it’s a great thing and it amazes me how people do that with these projects. Harmy’s Making of the DE’s showed he did this same thing. Taking elements from different sources. Assuming this is where you’re getting at ?

I’m curious on a couple thing as of recently. It seems with paradox down for Doc Brown knows how long, It seems he’s become a little active on the spleen. Hopefully that version ESB 2.6 with the 04 Emperor will come out and the ROTJ 2.6 (With choice of You Nub or Victory Celebration) will be coming. Hopefully in time for The Last Jedi. Side note after reading what Hal 9000 suggested, that would be a interesting replacement of the Emperor using Ady’s revisited version. My 2nd curiosity. Now with that impressive Star Wars Technicolor Recreation by NeverarGreat, I wonder if he’ll take some elements to maybe add for a 2.7 of A New Hope ? Being is was mostly sourced from the blu ray, he could put the falcon training scenes from that being in that version the lightsaber through and through is blue. Like I’ve mention months ago, that part in his regrade with the 2011 shots from the blu ray of the falcon training was what made it so come close to being perfect as a whole. I guess time will tell.

If memory serves correctly, I believe the shot of Watto yelling Sebulba is in the Extended scene of the Complete Podrace Grid Sequence . Being as a bonus for the digital collection they had all the dvd and blu ray scenes in H.D, like you mentioned above. You can take that part of Watto’s cheer, and that solves that problem.

althor1138 would you do something like this ? I did a dirtysync with Adywan’s DTS. I had his reconstruction playing on one video player and this LD preservation on another player. I watch first few minutes then I did Duel of the Fates all the way till when Qui Gon died. The DTS track seem to sync well. I also checked out to see if the audio would sync to when the sides changes. It seem to sync quite well. Would you think of doing a upscale or anamophically resize the LD of TPM for 16:9 television with Ady’s DTS? Maybe remove\blackout the Japanese subtitles? They stay in the bottom letterbox anyway. I don’t know if the audio as a whole if it would sync but I’m sure some trimming could be done if it didn’t. I love what you did with the 97 Special Edition laserdisc sync with the DTS tracks. I would love to see and I’m sure many other would like to see something similar done with TPM Japanese Laserdisc.

Well maybe when he gets around the the Verison of ESB:R with special features, it’ll be there to veiw. Maybe it’ll be a special feature. He had other test footage on ANH:R. That being a option and a hidden dvd easter egg. I guess we can only see. Thanks for letting me know. I was on curious.

Forgive me if I sound crazy about this, I swear I’m not lol. I remember a couple years ago watching breath smoke test for the the first few minutes of dialogue on Hoth. I thought it was a cool new effect and added a sense of coldness to Hoth. It was on Youtube. I assume it got taken down due to copyright. I was expecting when first watching ESB:R then nothing. So I was just wondering if anyone know’s why this didn’t make the cut, or maybe it was for another fan edit ? Other then that it was amazing through and through. 9 years of work defiantly paid off and it showed.

From what I saw on the paradox comments under ESB 2.6, he plans to do a V2.6 of Jedi. It’ll be the one with Victory Celebration first. Then shortly after he will release ESB V2.6 with Ian Mcdiarmid Emperor, and ROTJ V2.6 with Yub Nub. He released A New Hope 2.6 a couple weeks before Rogue One. Then a week after his Rogue One regrade he released ESB 2.6. He’s made quite a few other regrades after Empire. I like you have been waiting. He did those Star Wars 2.6’s along with Rogue One back in March. After no ROTJ release around April, I kind of assumed he’d release it around the time of May 4th for Star Wars day. So I guess he’s making quite a bit of work on it. I say be patient for it like I’ve been, it worth the wait. He’s regrades of Star Wars are fantastic . He has improved on it a couple times over. The one thing I wish he could do is take out the blu ray footage of Luke’s light green saber training on the falcon and replace it with it being blue. He has the talent for wisely choosing the good special edition changes. I’m not sure why he hasn’t done it? If he does or even did that, it would be pure fantastic as a whole in my eyes after that. Not meaning to get a lil off subject. None the less im sure it’ll be soon when ROTJ is finished.

It didn’t really bother me not having one but I wouldn’t be against the idea of one. If I have the money I would make the fan edit .

i’m sure most of this has been discussed . I think a great rogue one fan edit ideas would be screen wipes, no title cards, and lastly a Wilhelm scream. There’s no wilhelm scream. I’ve talk to some people and some claim they do but I dont hear one. I think a good place for it would be where Jyn pulls the stormtrooper off the cliff. I’m okay with no title crawl. This is what I feel was missing and would be a great idea to tackle in a fan edit.

Hey KK650, love the new release. I only have one slight problem. Yea this is a Semi-Specialised, a cherry picking of certain changes. You seem to have a motivation and talent for choosing what was a good change and what wasn’t a good change. I wish you can fix Luke’s lightsaber on the falcon to make it where Luke has a blue lightsaber. The terrible light green with changes to white. It’s something that’s always bother me with the 2004 dvd and the 2011 blu ray. It was blue in theatrical 77, the 81 re-release and the 97 special edition. The lightsaber in Ben’s Hut it’s perfectly fine. I don’t think anyone would object. It was always something that grind my gears because it’s suppose to be blue. I never understood why this wasn’t corrected or why it turned out this way ? I’m surprise this was never done when tackling this project. It’s my favorite Star Wars movie as well. I believe if possible it’ll make a perfect version with the best of the original and special editions. I love your regrades, and look forward to hearing your thoughts on this if you would you ever consider it?

This sound like a very interesting project, really looking forward to it. That ESB regrad looks alot better then KK650’s.

Hey kk650, thank you for getting back to me I highly appreciate it. I just found a different place to get Jedi 2.15 it unfortunately didn’t have the a dts 5.1 mix but I’ll just wait for a future version that comes along . I wanted to ask would you mind if I work on finding corrected chapters marks your Semi Specailized OT regrads ? I would love to work on it. Being you edited out some of the changes its goes out of chapters points go out to sync when you go through. So if you’d like I would love to work on it and send you the corrected points.

KK650, let me first start off by saying these regrades are great, excellent job on the natural skin tones and colors throughout on the film. Episode 1 has never looked better, I really love how you gave it the grain look unlike that clean digital look that came with it on the BR. I have 1,2,3,4,5, and 7. Why not 6 well here’s my problem. I never been asked for a pass code to extract the file to watch it when it came to your Regrad’s. I’ve read through your summary on dox and saw nothing of a pass code. Where on Harmy’s he has his pass code for extracting is in his summary. So unless this is a process that just started I’m stuck. Whenever you have a moment I would really appreciate it so I can enjoy your whole regraded saga in full. I have ROTJ (2.15 with VC) I don’t know if you had a specific password so i thought I hand you that bit of Information . Thank you In advance.
