One thing that always has bothered me since 1997 is the Tie Fighter that chases Luke after “I can’t shake him.” in the SE doesn’t have the red thrusters on and I find it very strange it’s something Lucas let slide even years after 04, 11 and 2020. Yet the original shot model shot has them present. You having the continuity eye you have is this something you planned on fixing or already have???
I know it’s a little late in the game but If I had one thing I wish I’d address to suggest that always bugs me it’s Rey’s “Ugh” at the start and I find it so cringe. To me it something a petty girl in High School would do. Weird nit pic I know but I just feel something like that doesn’t belong in SW. I feel a cut to when she say’s “They’re not with me.” and then the shot where she just force roll fall after would work pretty good. I just wanted to see what other would think.
I have a VFX suggestion. The last shot of the ties flying over we see red and yellow laser shooting below??? I know it may sound a little silly but its an idea that popped in my head.
It strange when you grow upon the SE and you watch the theatrical version of ESB when the open the door too Boba’s platform and the music stops just as when Chewie starts firing and it’s weird. The music add to the tension because we all feel like everyone else feels we almost save Han so I’m glad that’s one instance. Another strange music change is when Luke rises up into the Carbon Freezing chamber you hear the low piano note that starts the original fighting music intended for the scene but come time of the SE they cut it properly as soon as the door shuts on R2. I have to say my favorite bit of music composed but never made the final cut is the chamber fighting music though it works without it though it also works with it with the added emotions hear awesome renditions of Vader theme and when Luke gets the upper hand you hear Yoda’s theme meaning Yoda’s training has helped Luke for him to this point. I think ESB is Williams greatest work and how at least 30 to 40% of his score wasn’t used. I love how Harmy has a score only opinion so one could see all the intended music especially for Empire. Just a thought Id wanted to share

Having the same accent as Daisy, I think the sound-a-like was annoying to the point I struggled getting through the holiday special. In the most part the new girl sounded like a dumb parody of Rey as the pronunciation to some words were so exaggerated and unnatural, imo.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way, too me it’s sounds like a more exaggerated and way too british emphases sound. I’m not looking forward to the lego game due to this very reason.
I saw a post though somewhat off topic but someone saying something about a new color grading of TROS on D+ and I thought ok Im sure, but turns out to be right. Could this be a new 4k master coming eventually is physical? Kinda a similar situation with TLJ getting a imo “so call new 4k transfer” which let me explain. Rise Of Skywalker and TLJ 4k’s are the only one that haven’t had the black boarders cover art change as of yet at least in the US, though the slipcover for TLJ has that new cover. Also the Dolby Vison 4k is still available in those edition where the best buy boxset is updated with the just the HDR transfer for TLJ. Is Disney gonna more then likely use TROS new transfer to be release with that? Just a thought that came to mind when thinking about this news. I haven’t sat down to watch this update change but I might, I can’t really judge yet. I have to say you gave that puppet show a much more meaningful meaning at least to me. Star Wars is something most people 1st watch as kids. The kids seeing a Star Wars event though it’s in their reality and they’re enjoying it and laughing gives it a meta feeling in a way. The movies are suppose to bring Joy, Hope, life lessons, stories of good vs evil. That’s the way I take it and I really enjoy it.
The picture quality of the Laserdisc rip that is out there is really rough. It is the first directors cut from the late 70s since the original studio hacked up cut has never been on home video.
It’s really only three scenes that were cut. Where Ron Howard tells the principle to “Kiss a duck.”, the car salesman, and Harrison singing Some Enchanted Evening. I don’t think it’s really warranted for a theatrical because that was more on the studio vs George’s Final Cut. Nothing drastic happens that makes it feel like something missing or different with those 3 scene not in the movie. It’s not like a Special Edition of sorts, I’d love to see that supposed 3 hour version which it would be cool because I feel like I’m in the 60’s when I watch it, the longer the better lol.

I’m curious why the shots being mixed vs how it was edited for the duel of the fates. Looks and sounds great but it’s just throwing me off because when I was a kid and saw that it made me go like, “Oh that’s how they get up on the upper balcony!”. It starts on the upper balcony and back on the long ramp so it just throws me off lol.
Watching the recent 4k97-IV I notice the respecialized subtitles make a mistake which I think was sourced from TeamBlu’s for the Jabba Scene on putting 15% & 20% where the 35mm print had the numbers spelled out. Hopefully it’s corrected for a V2.
I’d love to check this out.
I watching this recently and I felt the transition straight cut after Rey saying “Yes Master.” to just seeing the Hyperspace felt unnatural. I feel the most Star Wars thing would’ve been to have a transition and in my head I think a circle going outward transition (though it doesn’t have to be that particular one I just feel with Hyperspace being shown it be the most natural one to use) to be a natural way to have that nice flow instead of a straight cut. It just feels abrupt and awkward to me where a transition would flow like any Star Wars movie would set up the Leia’s Mission part of the story. With how that shot holds on Rey’s face for a brief moment I feel it would work.

Bobson I dont know if its been mentioned or if you been made aware, but I watched the first 25 mins. After the line from the ps2 game (which made me happy to see) “Just because they’re are two of you dont not assume you have an advantage.” The audio goes quiet for a few seconds and fades back in.
I’m looking very forward to this. Will this have the 97 DTS track???
The Leia deepfake looks alot better too, they have it tagged on the end.
I’m really sadden. I know I’m not really a somebody but it’s just I suggested an idea that I spoke to you and to my surprise then, you put it in. Then with this newer update it was not carried over into this newer version. It made me happy that I got to see it come to life and that a suggestion of mine was made into consideration and put in, but I understand it’s your edit. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it and it become my ultimate favorite specialized due to the some SE changes and some original elements 99.5% of what I agree. Also along with an idea of mine in it that made it even more special. I hope I’m not coming across in the wrong way. 😦

What imo makes Jedi unique is the 2nd act. Taking this stuff at face value and just looking at it from a story and character stance really makes Jedi separate from Empire and SW/ANH. Luke finding out the truth from Yoda about Vader, him finding out Leia is his sister from Obi, him telling Leia about them being related and Vader is their father and her having the ability to use the force. Before I go on I love it after Luke walks off to Vader and Han comes out to see what’s going on and see something is wrong, he gets agitated because Leia won’t tell him. Old Han would’ve walked away but he actually stops and turns to apologize . Leia was told a huge load of stuff and is trying to take it all in. She goes to Han for comfort. Then the talk between Vader and Luke on the landing platform about him accepting the truth of Vader being his father and him trying to turn him and Vader just accepting how far gone down the Darkside he is and Luke saying “He’s Father it truly dead.” You don’t see Vader react to it until he is alone on the walkway. I imagine that really started inside him the turn. He is truly reflecting what he became and what life could’ve been and maybe Luke was right, but we see what happens later when he saves him.
Bobson, I don’t know if you’re a fan pf the Clone Wars but if you’d give it some thought, would you make a ultimate version with your fan edit and the last 4 Episodes with the Clone Wars? It would be a pretty epic extended edition.

I thought of a cool little visual effect that could be added. I didn’t really think about it until watching a video about it. The youtuber mention how interesting it was that Ben Burt added a small impact scratch effect the lightsaber had when it hits the stairs. Could there be a possibility a small spark effect could be added where the tip of the lightsaber hits the step on the stairs???
