I am Legend
Time
I enjoyed this film and thought Will Smith was ace but I left the cinema feeling pretty much unaffected. 28 days later is basically the same film but set in London and I think it does a much better job - it's certainly a lot scarier, although the ending with Christopher Eccleston is a bit wank.

The Dark Knight (Batman Begins Returns Again)
Time
I watched A Knight's Tale the other night. It's shit but good, if you know what I mean. Anyway, while I was watching it I just couldn't link Heath Ledger in that film to the Heath Ledger we see in the Dark Knight trailer - Heath Ledger as the joker is unrecognisable. I don't know why everyone is down on him - he's clearly a great actor who can wear many different hats and really make you believe in a character rather than 'oh, there's heath ledger'. This Joker is realistic - he's basically just a nutter who dresses up as a clown and kills people, which is what the joker would actually be were he real. No toxic waste or any of that, just a psycho in make-up, and from what I've seen Heath Ledger is going to nail his psycho in make-up role. I'm looking forward to this film.

Hello, all.

I'm pretty good, thanks.

Dayv's right, I'm back home in the world's greatest city, London.
Let's just say things in L.A. didn't work out. Hahahaha

The music is going extremely slowly (my own fault really).

I've actually lost my OT.com password (I'm able to log on by using a friend's computer that I logged on with years ago that still has the cookie) so I guess I should PM Jay or something.

Glad to see the software change is yet to happen.

So I'm optimistic all our old friends can indeed return and get along just fine.

Except AWK. Fuck him.

Hello everyone.

Hotrod left a post on my myspace which spurred me to come on here and say hi. Sorry I've been away but I've just been having a bit of a dodgy few months and I don't really get online that much anymore (I also lost my OT password and am only managing to post now by using a friend's computer which I logged on with once upon a time and the cookie is still there).

Anyway, hope you're all doing well, and I'll try and pop in from time to time but I probably won't be a very active member like I used to be.

I must admit I've been craving meat lately (I almost had a KFC last week - I was frustrated, depressed and angry all at once and I got as far as the counter. The lady asked me if she could take my order and I decided against it), but stories like Gaffer's burger juice tale remind me of why I don't.

I like chocolate Soy milk but I'd rather have the real thing if I'm having regular non-chocolate milk. I had vegan cookies once, they were excellent, but all in all I don't seek out vegan food - Being vegetarian is hard enough!

And yeah Ric, fake meat will never beat the real thing and can be quite nasty at times, but if you cook it right and get creative it can be pretty good, plus in the case of such products as chicken nuggets there's very little difference becasue even 'real' nuggets are processed and full of flavouring.

The name goes back to a completely random discussion Chaltab, Ric and myself were having about the world's longest bridge in a thread completely unrelated to bridges. Great ideas are born from neccesity and we decided we needed a thread to use when we went off topic and didn't want to derail an existing thread or start a new one.

I admit the name has the potential to cause confusion, but hopefully by communicating with our fellow forum members and spreading the word we can get around the problem.

I Want to Buy The Star Wars Soundtracks....Please Help
Time
If you can find it I recommend the 1993 anthology box set which contains all 3 soundtracks plus a 4th 'unreleased material' disc. I have the set and I will never need any other version. And the ROTJ disc has the original yub nub on it, which is nice.

EDIT: I done a quick search and Amazon has some used sets in stock. The factory sealed ones are pretty expensive but you can get a used one at a reasonable price.
