New Indiana Jones DVD's - No Blu-Ray
Time
And then, just in time for Christmas, we'll have the Indiana Jones 'Quadrilogy Boxset' containing all 3 of these 'Special Edition' discs plus the new movie.

I don't own any Indy DVDs so I will consider buying these when they are inevitably put on sale (I learned my lesson the hard way with the 'Limited Edition' Star Wars DVDs that you can now pick up for next to nothing in every DVD shop in the country).

Seinfeld
Time
For some reason this show never really got a proper airing in the UK, it was always on at like 1am on BBC2 or something (same deal with Family Guy, but that didn't even get a terestrial airing, it was on BBC 4 or some shit that you need a digibox to receive... but I digress).
Anyway, thanks to DVD I am able to watch this 'show about nothing' and it's great. Curb your enthusiasm is also very good.

Anyone else here have a love/hate relation with Revenge of the sith ?
Time
Love and hate are both strong emotions, and no film in the PT stirs anything in me that could be labelled a strong emotion, except possibly disappointment (and that's not even particularly strong, it's just sort of there). I guess the strongest feeling I have about ROTS and the PT in general is something along the lines of 'meh'. I certainly don't like ROTS as a movie.

Could it be that Justice League sounds like it's going to be a really bad movie based on a bad DC comic?

Iron Man on the other hand... I'm so glad that it looks like it's been done right. Looking forward to seeing that one.

Star Wars is Evil

Did you watch the video? I think his issue is with people who really think The Force is real. This is mostly evident in the UK where they had a group of people claim "Jedi" as their religion. If you view Star Wars as a work of fiction, like most sane people do, the guy doesn't think you're going to hell at all.

I was one of the people who put Jedi as my religion, but it was a joke because I am essentially of no religion. That doesn't mean I don't believe in spirituality I just don't subscribe to any one religion and didn't give a shit about the government census so I wrote Jedi. Having said that, the force, as explained in the OT not the shitty PT, is actually based on Buddhism and so I guess you could say that I do believe in it to an extent.

I got the soundtrack when it came out. It was great, but the name of one of the tracks gave away Qui Gon's fate. I was really ticked about that, since I'd been trying to avoid spoilers.
Shit , yeah, I remember that! Luckily I was warned to avoid the soundtrack until I had seen the film for that reason, but then there was a news repprt on TV along the lines of 'Star Wars fans pissed at track entitled Death of Qui-Gon'. I was pissed.

What do you think? What the hell was Leia doing at Tatooine at the start of ANH?!
Time
I could have just made this up, but I seem to remember either from the novel or the radio drama that she knew she wouldn't make it all the way to Alderaan with that Star destroyer on her tail so she takes a quick detour to Tatooine (which en route, apparently) where she knows she has a friend in Obi-Wan.

Like I said... could have just made all that up!

Official: 'THE CLONE WARS' movie in Theaters 8/15/08
Time
I think you'll find that I post here very rarely these days and I don't complain 'day in day out'. I love the original unaltered Trilogy and I like to come on here occassionally and talk to people about it, and sometimes I will also talk about teh things that I don't like and why I don't like them. The Prequels, the Spin-offs, the TV shows, all the other shit, yeah, I am sick of it, and if I want to come on here and state that then I will.

The movie is coming out irregardless of your negative attitudes.
I never said I was boycotting it. I'm just not going to see it in a theatre because I don't care about it.

We can look forward to Star Wars films for years to come, I'm sure. Dread, more like. If you had told me 12 years ago that I would eventually be sick of Star Wars to the point of not giving a shit I wouldn't have believed it. But believe it people, believe it - NOT INTERESTED.

Gee, how about a movie set after ROTJ or something? I'd pay money to see that!

Now that *might* interest me.
