To each their own. I found it distracting, so I wouldn’t mind seeing it changed. There’s already so many edits for the film, I wouldn’t mind seeing more minimal aesthetic changes such as that.
I’m interested in seeing a new take on this. For me, the Clean Cut was the ideal supplement to the original (unbiased opinion… lol) but there are definitely some alternate ideas bouncing around that I would love to see… Holdo’s hair being changed to brown is one and Kylo training is another… I was recently sent an AWESOME clip of Kylo ‘finishing his training’ and I’ve yet to see anyone implement this idea into an edit:

Holdo’s hair being changed would be essential to the perfect edit of the movie lol. I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone fully go all in on doing it for a full edit.

Almost every comment is like this lol. It’s truly baffling.
Who could have guessed that the guy who made countless videos on why Brie Larson, Disney, and Kathy Kennedy are the devil made a bad edit.
I mean I would agree that those three things are terrible lol. But maybe he should have spend more time actually WORKING on the thing that is bringing him his “fame”. Almost everything in the edit is stuff we already saw him make videos on over the last year. I’m curious as to what he’s even been working on this whole time leading up to release.
He obviously just wanted to drag it on, so that he could rack up more Youtube revenue and Patreon donations.
Just from looking at the comments on Youtube, I can tell that almost every one of them thinks that Topher Grace is the only one to ever edit the prequel trilogy.
These people are absolutely clueless to there being any sort of fan-editing community. Probably for the best though. Too much attention would only bring a shut down from Disney.
I got the same vibe reading the comments… it’s the ONLY explanation for them thinking this guy’s edit is like the second coming. really crazy…they feel like he’s doing God’s work… like people thanking him for all he has done… lol nuts.
Almost every edit he did, I’ve seen done way better here. The only thing I think his edit has going for it, is the Ackbar scene. But even then it is pretty sloppy.

Been working the past few days on the Starkiller Firing scene, including shuffling the sequence and timing of a few shots, changing the firing shot so that the strong sunlight is no longer visible, and finally adding a new establishing shot to better transition from Rey/Kylo to the Starkiller cue.

ForceGhostRecon’s edit of the scene is the best I think it can get in terms of using the footage from it. Obviously it needs some more tweeking, but I think pieces of it can easily work in a edit of Ep. IV.
I think some of it could easily fit into A New Hope. Definitely not all of it, but could easily cherry-pick a few shots to extend/spice up the fight. Would love to see some people at least attempt it.
JEDIT: Everything from 1:12-2:43 and 4:54-5:14 are just fine. They need some touch up here and there though.
