Comic book movies - who says yes and who says no?
Time
I always wondered who Thor was until I looked it up a few months ago. What's puzzling is how he was able to change his appearance so drastically. In 1987, he was in Adventures in Babysitting, where his 'Thor' character was this blonde-haired stud. But in 1987, he was also Private Pile in Full Metal Jacket where he played an overweight dufus. I guess the two could have been filmed a year or two apart, but still an amazing chameleon-esque transformation.

It's not my favorite game ever, but last night I was playing it, and the scenario was so intense I had a hard time winding down and going to sleep. It's one of those games that gets better as you go along. The more I play it, the more in awe I am of it. Plus, it's much deeper and longer than I thought it was going to be. I haven't beat it yet, but this game, to me, is the best GC game yet.

I think it would be ideal for a console to have a balance of material, but Nintendo is far too E-tastic. And because of this, they fall into a vicious cycle where consumers see the GC as a 'kiddie console' (whether or not it is, is up for debate), so they go with a PS2/Xbox instead. Then the developers see that there isn't a demand for M-rated content on the GC, so they develope for the other consoles, so then there's even less M-rated content, and then even more people buy PS2/Xbox. They're just digging themselves a hole.

Well, I think video games is a market where consumers dictate to the manufacturers what they want, and the manufacturers compete to see who can come closest creating the 'ideal' platform. Unfortunately, Nintendo is either in denial, or is totally oblivious to this idea. They think they can dictate to the general public what they need/want, and that people will just eat it up. And it obviously doesn't work that way. I'm sorry, but I agree with you guys that if Nintendo doesn't drastically alter their business model/philosophy, they are going to go the way of Sega - and soon. I just don't understand what goes through their heads. Sheesh.

And what was the deal with that guy's speech on the Revolution? I'm hoping that it was just hype/nonsense.

Other altered works

As far as DVD releases go, I would like the theatrical versions of Blade Runner, Last of the Mohicans, and the Blues Brothers. While I prefer the director's cut of Blade Runner, I think the theatrical version would be cool to have as well. The theatrical versions of the other two are better than the director's cuts. Once I get a new computer I'm going to edit the Blues Brothers back to the theatrical cut.
