Remember Goldstar Electronics? LG used to be Goldstar.

Yeah, sorry I forgot about that. I was reading about AntcuFaalb's Chroma/Luma separation trick and thinking maybe it would work even better with an X0 capture, I forgot that the X0 had the smearing on it too. Shame we don't have an X0 capture of the Technidisc. Still, when Negative1 releases the 35mm footage that will probably be the best source we're likely to have.
Here is the X0 Raw capture of this scene, from the upload by Zion:

The kids and I watched this last night. Excellent work Harmy! When it was done, the kids (both girls 6 & 7) pulled out all my Star Wars figures and had me assemble the cardboard death star so they could re-enact as much of it as they could remember. Fantastic.
The "Nooooooooo!!" added to ROTJ isn't as bad as I had feared. Not nearly as bad as the one in Episode III anyway.
Having only ever watched ROTJ maybe 10 times in 25 years and mostly on small screen VHS I had never noticed that as Vader is lit up by the Emperor you can see his skull. I thought that was a new effect so I went back to the GOUT to check and saw it was there too, but as I watched the scene in the GOUT I *Almost* missed the "NOOOO!!" - it just seemed oddly quiet...
NOOOOOOOO!!! What is wrong with me?
I didn't try the other audio tracks on the Bluray, I suppose it is on all of them?
I'd like to thank this trailer for teaching me all I needed to know about widescreen vs Pan & Scan:

Was this ever uploaded to a.b.starwars? If so do you remember what the title was? I searched but couldn't find it. If not, could someone also PM me a link if possible?
FYI: I have posted some 70 mm scans here:
