No where. George Lucas hates this film. Hes hated it since the beginning. He never released it on video and never allowed it to air again. He said he would burn every copy of that abomination if he could.

Funny, considering that one of the features on the Attack of the Clones DVDs features footage from it.

As for Spaceballs.... no comment. *James hates Mel Brooks films*

You hate Mel Brooks films !!??!! I mean, you have every right to, but how can you hate Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, The producers (my favorite ) , and Spaceballs they're great movies man! ....but its alright, to each his own

While I don't find anything appealing about music numbers the Holiday special does have deleted scenes for A New Hope and the Boba Fett cartoon. I think it would be great if he could put that cartoon as an extra on the Clone Wars cartoon DVD. There would be more then enough bit room considering all 20 shorts come out to around one hour. Those deleted scenes should also be on the trilogy DVD set later this year.

Jimbo, Spaceballs is a movie you don't have to like it but it is a movie. It was released in theaters.

and yea "Dead and Loving it" died and "Life Stinks" stinks

I also liked Bossk's idea of a Special Achievement Oscar; it would have been much more palatable than giving Best Picture to the weakest film in the trilogy.

You are 100% correct I could'nt say it any be myself

Here it is Attack of the Clones is an amazing movie. All aspects effects, acting, story, effects, action are all perfect. The acting first of all was way overly critized. Hadyn was just fine as Anakin. Many people see his childish behavior as bad acting it is not. It is an important part of Anakins transformation to evil. How such behavior can lead to evil. Natalie Portman was wonderful. Both looks and acting. First of all she is gorgous, hot, sexy, and beautiful. She also acted very well as the girl torn between love and duty. The story works great as well. The story on how a Republic can become an empire over security concerns was great. It has all the same dark aspects that made The Empire Strikes Back so good. It has mystery, suspense, just a great story. By the way I thought having Jar Jar give Palpatine the power was awsome. It was unexpected and gave Jar Jar a purpose in the saga. The effects are fantastic. I thought giving The Two Towers the best effects award was a crime. So much of the movie is photoreal computer animation that it is practically an animated movie with live action elements. The action is the best element of the movie. The end action sequence has everything a Star Wars action sequence can have. Clones, droids, Jedi, monsters, tanks, ships, and a hottie all fighting at once in a huge explosion of action. Its so intense so epic and seeing Yoda fight was the coolest ever. After growing up with this character having so much power and never showing and want to see his power now seeing him kicking ass was awsome. Attack of the Clones was great. No its perfect. Best movie ever in my opinion.

Oh my god .....

*Warbler shakes head in disblief*

I think it would be pointless to say anything further on this subject.

this Holiday special that you've been talking about. I have a vague recollection of seeing some sort of Star Wars special on TV year ago. I am cetain that I saw it before Empire Stikes Back came out. I have never seen it again and could never figure out what it was. Maybe this Holiday special is what I'm remembering. Anybody know where I could get hold of a copy?

And, was ROTK alone the best movie? The LOR was a great Trilogy, but since when do oscars go to movie series? Remember the title is "Best Picture" not "Best Pictures" If ROTk alone was not the best movie and lets say Seabiscuit was (and I'm not saying it was, just using it as an example) wouldn't giving the award to ROTK just because "LOR was just too great not to be given best picture at least once" be unfair to Seabiscuit(again assuming that Seabiscuit was the best movie this year and I'm not saying it it)?

It is not that I don't like LOR it is just that I don't know if oscars should be awarded in this fashion.

anyway what a a**hole!
your lucky to get nominated for an oscar let alone win one... and he took his friends chance to say something on that stage away from him that he may never get back...
i would have been pissed!

ah, but was ROTK alone deserving? that's my question

Oscars 2004

I am just wondering, does anybody else have a problen with judging ROTK with the LOR Trilogy instead of judging ROTK on its own? I mean ROTK was the movie nominated, and not the whole series. The Oscars have never given award to whole series just indivual movies. And if its ok to judge whole series together, why give one to both Godfather part I and Godfather part II shouldn't you just give the whole series just one? Also how come the OT the greatest movie series of them all does have one. Maybe I'm making a big deal about nothing but I ask you can you compare a whole movie series against individual movies?

P.S.

please don't take this the wrong it is not that I dislike ROTK, It is just that I'm not sure that it deserved 11 oscars on it own merit.
