Fired FBI director James Comey plans to testify publicly in the Senate as early as next week to confirm bombshell accusations that President Donald Trump pressured him to end his investigation into a top Trump aide’s ties to Russia, a source close to the issue said Wednesday.

Final details are still being worked out and no official date for his testimony has been set. Comey is expected to appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating possible connections between the Trump campaign and Russia during last year’s presidential election.

Comey has spoken privately with Special Counsel Robert Mueller III to work out the parameters for his testimony to ensure there are no legal entanglements as a result of his public account, a source said. Comey will likely sit down with Mueller, a longtime colleague at the Justice Department, for a formal interview only after his public testimony.

It should be very interesting testimony.

Oh I know that, but can you be banned for lying for attention? Even if it’s about something so shitty to lie about. I mean… this was years and years ago and I don’t want to drag it up again and they rarely post anymore anyway but I can think of somebody else that was never banned.

Might that have been someone known for posting in all caps?

Memorial Day 2017
Time

I thank all who have served, still serving and will serve.    Special thanks to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.

Remember, Memorial day isn’t about cook outs and a day at the shore or the pool(nor is it about the guy the currently lives in the White House),  it is about this:

Memorial Day Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, With a sober heart we come before you this Memorial Day. We pause for a moment and call to mind all the men and women who have died in the service of our nation since 1776. Dear God, please look with mercy on our brave and selfless brothers and sisters, who did not shirk from their task but gave themselves completely to the cause of defending and protecting us all. Bless all who have given their lives for the sake of liberty, and grant them eternal rest with You. We remember also our brave men and women now serving in our armed forces, both home and abroad. Dear God, send out Your angels to protect them all. Help them discharge their duties honorably and well. Please bring them safely home to their families and loved ones. Please bring Your peace and mercy to our troubled world. We ask this, Father in the name of Jesus, Your Son, Amen

I don’t know the other two but Bill Maher is a piece of shit.

What has he done? He can be quite an ass at times and I disagree with him on many things but I appreciate his views on religion and political correctness.

Just for starters, he’s a massive misogynist. And because I’m a liberal, I’ll use a conservative site:

http://www.lifezette.com/popzette/misogynist-bill-maher-strikes-again/

He is also bigoted against Christians(and any other religion for that matter).

Here is the transcript of the letter sent by the professor that inspired students to protest for his firing:

“Dear Rashida,
When you first described the new structure for Day of Absence / Day of Presence at a past faculty meeting (where no room was left for questions), I thought I must have misunderstood what you said. Later emails seemed to muddy the waters further, while inviting commitments to participate. I now see from the boldfaced text in this email that I had indeed understood your words correctly.
There is a huge difference between a group or coalition deciding to voluntarily absent themselves from a shared space in order to highlight their vital and under-appreciated roles (the theme of the Douglas Turner Ward play Day of Absence, as well as the recent Women’s Day walkout), and a group or coalition encouraging another group to go away. The first is a forceful call to consciousness which is, of course, crippling to the logic of oppression. The second is a show of force, and an act of oppression in and of itself.
You may take this letter as a formal protest of this year’s structure, and you may assume I will be on campus on the Day of Absence. I would encourage others to put phenotype aside and reject this new formulation, whether they have ‘registered’ for it already or not. On a college campus, one’s right to speak — or to be — must never be based on skin color.
If there was interest in a public presentation and discussion of race through a scientific / evolutionary lens, I would be quite willing to organize such an event (it is material I have taught in my own programs, and guest lectured on at Evergreen and elsewhere). Everyone would be equally welcome and encouraged to attend such a forum, irrespective of ethnicity, belief structure, native language, political leanings, or position at the college. My only requirement would be that people attend with an open mind, and a willingness to act in good faith.
If there is interest in such a event, please let me know …”

[sarcasm] Sounds like a KKK member to me. [/sarcasm]

Audio recording of Guardian reporter being assaulted…

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/may/24/greg-gianforte-bodyslams-reporter-ben-jacobs-montana

A statement by campaign spokesman Shane Scanlon blamed Jacobs for the altercation, saying that he “entered the office without permission, aggressively shoved a recorder in Greg’s face, and began asking badgering questions”.

“Jacobs was asked to leave,” the statement reads. “After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs grabbed Greg’s wrist, and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground.

“It’s unfortunate that this aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist created this scene at our campaign volunteer BBQ.”

^ LOL. They might as well have gone with “I was just holding out my fist and the guy ran into it. There was nothing I could do”.

To remove any doubt, even the Fox news reporter who was there said…

“Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him.

“Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the man, as he moved on top the reporter and began yelling something to the effect of ‘I’m sick and tired of this!’ … To be clear, at no point did any of us who witnessed this assault see Jacobs show any form of physical aggression toward Gianforte, who left the area after giving statements to local sheriff’s deputies.”

In other news…

Another Guardian reporter Vikram Dodd just posted…

The Guardian can confirm that Britain has stopped sharing evidence from the investigation into the Manchester bombing with the United States after a series of leaks left investigators and government furious.

The ban is limited to the Manchester investigation only, with Britain believing the leaks are unprecedented in their scope, frequency and potential damage.

A sad day.

On behalf of my country, I apologize for the leaks. I am embarrassed for my country.
