Frankly, you’re clueless. They are protesting police brutality and racism, not the anthem. And you’ll never get it, apparently, no matter how many times it’s explained to you. If you think they’re being disrespectful to the anthem, whatever, but at least that’s an opinion. Your belief that they are protesting the anthem itself is just plain dumb.

They are protesting police brutality and racism by protesting the anthem.

If you want to think I am clueless and dumb for standing by my country, its flag and its anthem, kiss my ass.

We have truly reached a low point in our society. The National Anthem is now a tool for political speech. Yesterday, I went my highschool’s footgame and I had to look to around and see who was protesting the National Anthem. I am saddening angry and offended that that is the new normal. It completely pisses me off and breaks my heart.

I don’t how unpopular I become. I will never agree with the protesters. Never. I will never go against the flag or the anthem. Never. Call me a clueless blind patriot. I don’t care. I know what I will do when the Anthem is played.

The entire offensive line of the Oakland Raiders plans to protest during the national anthem prior to Sunday night’s game against the Washington Redskins in response to President Trump’s statements about the NFL, a player with knowledge of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The Raiders’ offensive line, the only all African-American unit in the NFL, plans to sit or kneel together in protest of unity during the anthem, according to Rapoport.

“As far as some of the players I’ve spoken with, even a lot of them who have strong views and have kept it private, they feel that President Trump has given them no choice but to speak out,” Rapoport reported on NFL GameDay Morning on Sunday.

> Good for them. Frankly, more players need to do this. A major white star (like Aaron Rodgers) needs to do this. The President of the United States should not be calling for companies to fire employees because they speak out against racism. The President of the United States should be doing his part to reduce racism, not making it worse.

fixed

No.

Good lord Trump is a massive steaming pile of shit. The saber is rattling so much that it’s starting to come apart.

Donald J. Trump

Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won’t be around much longer!

Who says shit like this? Jesus.

God, we need to get Trump out of office. I mean, if you are on a plane in midair and you turn around and suddenly see another passenger with a bomb in his hand and he threatens to blow the plane up, are you going to insult that guy and call him names or carefully negotiate with him?

btw, could the “little” comment be thought of as a bit of stereotyping?

I’ve spent four years in an American military uniform. Anyone who hasn’t, and who also says that silently kneeling during the national anthem is disrespectful, can kiss my honorably discharged ass.

With all due respect to whomever posted that, I disagree. But I do thank him/her for all that he/she has done for our country.

I wish to make clear, that I do not agree with firing players who disrespect the National Anthem, at least not until we fire woman beaters and those that commit other types of violence and dog murderers and those that DWI and those that cheat and those that use racial slurs. If we are not going to fire the players that do all of that, it wouldn’t be right to fire those that protest the anthem. While I can’t stand those that protest the anthem and think they are unpatriotic disrespectful jackasses, I do not think protesting the anthem is as bad as the other things I mentioned.

NEW YORK — President Trump on Thursday announced new financial sanctions targeting North Korea as his administration seeks to build international support for more aggressively confronting the rogue nation, whose escalating nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities have reached what U.S. officials consider a crisis point.

The new penalties seek to leverage the dominance of the U.S. financial system by forcing nations, foreign companies and individuals to choose whether to do business with the United States or the comparatively tiny economy of North Korea. U.S. officials acknowledged that like other sanctions, these may not deter North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s drive to threaten the United States with a nuclear weapon, but is aimed at slowing him down.

Kim on Thursday reacted angrily to Trump’s remarks and actions this week, calling the president a “mentally deranged U.S. dotard” and Trump’s earlier speech at the U.N. “unprecedented rude nonsense.” Kim said that he was now thinking hard about how to respond.

“I will make the man holding the prerogative of the supreme command in the U.S. pay dearly for his speech,” Kim said in a statement released by the official Korean Central News Agency, which also published a photo of the North Korean leader sitting at his desk holding a piece of paper.

“I am now thinking hard about what response he could have expected when he allowed such eccentric words to trip off his tongue. Whatever Trump might have expected, he will face results beyond his expectation,” Kim said, saying that he would “tame” Trump “with fire.”

an old person, especially one who has become weak or senile.

JEDIT: Here’s the entire statement. It’s incredible, along with this picture:

I seem to remember warning people that Trump would be disaster with the N. Korean problem. Too bad not enough people listened to me.

That’s way too much homework. You’re already spending eight hours a day at school, why intrude the other part of your life with three hours of work?

I am sympathetic.

Thanks. And I want to make sure that ya’ll know I actually don’t have issues with public school. I used to hate it but after sitting in on one of my friends non-AP classes and seeing what his homework was, I actually realized this is an issue specifically with students pressured by parents to take an AP loaded schedule. Even at college, my sister says it’s already clear how much better it is. She is almost always fully rested since she got to pick her class times. She goes to a fraction of the school I go to every week, and she really enjoys her classes.

It’s just that me and a lot of my peers give in to pressure and take a ton of AP’s. But I honestly think if I took all regular classes, I would have learned and retained so much more, and would end up looking back at school as a challenging but fulfilling use of my time. Right now everything is just a means to an end. Another worksheet every second to mindlessly search for answers as I think about nothing but my grade.

I am sympathetic too. I remember thinking the my teachers seemed to be unaware that I was taking other classes and had homework for them as well.
