First off, I welcome any crizisizem for my <span class=“Bold”>Idea</span>. Im young, and I have absulutely no Idea on how to do this, though I have a rough idea of how.
First off, I was watching Star wars yesterday in french…originaly because the sound mixes are VERY different, and I wanted to compare the sounds.
But after watching it, it sounded like a WWII movie. The french, being the “rebellion” and the evil “Hitlers German ‘Empire’”. I knew that the concepts of the Jedi will be very odd, so I changed it around. I dont want to “redo” the entire trillogy, because it will be just impossible to to ROTJ in "wwII’ terms.
Yesterday, I did the opening title crawl in windows movie maker.
Just go into movie maker, then go into tools and go into title and credits, then click any of those, then copy and paste the following in the text field:
THE GALAXY WARS

IN THE EARTH YEAR 2679 A.D. , THE GERMAN WAR MACHINE CHARGED THORUGH EASTERN EUROPE.
THIS STARTED THE FIRST GALACTIC WAR. AFTER THREE HUNDRED YEARS OF
BUILDING COLONIES THROUGHOUT THE MILKY WAY GALAXY, THE WAR THAT ORIGINATED ON EARTH HAS NOW SPREAD TO THE STARS.
USING GIANT SPACE SHIPS, AND STRIKING FROM A HIDDEN BASE, THE FRENCH REBELLION HAS STOLEN THE SECRET PLANS FOR THE GERMAN EMPIRES NEW WEAPON, THE " DEATH STAR".
NOW ESCAPEING TO THE FORMER FRENCH, BUT NOW OCCUPIED BY THE GERMANS TATTOINE COLONIY, THE FRENCH REBELLION WISHES TO RESTORE PEACE, AND ORDER TO THE GALAXY…
I had to edit the size of the text to fit the pace of the music.
After that click on change title animation, go to TITLES, ONE LINE
then SCROLL,PRESPECTIVE and then go to text font and color.
Microsoft Sans Sarif looked the best, in bold. Make the backround black, the text yellow. You can change the transparancy to allow for a picture backround-(the very seconed of the star field in ANH perhaps?)
watch it. For effect add music (I added the ANH opening title, extend the legnth of the crawl all the war to ten end of the music.
Make sure to go to options and make sure to put it on 16:9 ratio.
Well…
after that, we cut to ANH…I wanted to beable to splice (some how be able to obtain a german DVD copy of ANH) the german tracks and the french tracks. All imperial people speak german, except Darth Vadar when hes talking to Leia. The troops that some up to the speeder in Mos Eisly speak french and german (the speak amngst themselves in german, and speak in french when talking to the locals)
So what do you think?
It could be stupid (it is…)
But done right…It could be good. But I remind you that this edit will suffice for only this movie and this movie alone. It won’t work (possibly) with ESB but I’m pretty positive that it wont work for ROTJ…unless someone can find a way to put the whole german-french-and Jedi fit together.
