***Citizen's NTSC DVD/PAL DVD/XviD Info and Feedback Thread***
Time
Wow this sounds so cool, its very overwhelming (especially for a young pup like me lol)
I have a THX Tape transfer, thats all, hopefully you guys will be around when I'm older so I could download them...
speaking of which, would I be able to download them, (probably to big...) because I could save it to my computer, I don't have a burner, but my friend has one, and I have already taken files with my 128 Mb Jumper Dirve to his house to burn stuff, but I'm not sure if his burner is single layer or not..
Never mind, my rambling was useless...
No downloads huh-

Which did you prefer, the SE or the 2004 DVD edition?
Time
Well, for starters please read my signiture (lol)

Im young, I was'nt around durring the 1977,1980, or 1983 releases, hell, I was born ALONG TIME after that. But when I was 5 I came accross I box of tapes in the garage.
The tapes looked cool, one had this big picture of some black masked guy, and a picture of 2 space ships, and on the back, a guy that looked like my grandpa with a big lasersword. I found in the box a tape with a big picture of a masked guy in all white, and abunch of people running away from big metal elephants, and on the last video, i saw a picture of a small goblin creature, and that black masked guy again with some old guy and some other guy.
These were the THX faces collection.
Later, I learned that the black masked guy was the Sith Lord Darth Vadar, father of LUKE SKYWALLKER, and that was an X-Wing fighter, battleing an X1-Advanced TIE FIGHTER on the DEATH STAR, and that man being OBI-WAN KENOBI, former master of the Sith Lord Darth Vadar, father of LUKE SKYWALLKER,
and that the masked villan on the.......................
well you get what I mean.
Well, I watched these tapes for 7 years, on and off, they were the FULL SCREEN editoins, and they got badly worn, but I would still watch them, over and over again. 1997 passed and I did not know anything of the SPECIAL GOD HATES IT EDITIONS, intil about 2004, when I heared their was going to be a DVD of the orginal trillogy. Well, enough of my rambling, heres my list.

1.THE ORIGINAL ORIGINAL ORIGINAL G-DAM IT ORIGINAL TRILLOGY
I was always thinking how cool Han was, for shooting that stupid weird alien that wanted to take his favorite toy (ship) and all his money., FIRST
I always liked the O-OT battle, even though the rehash might be better, and I watch it from time to time, the stiff ships of the O-OT are better, atleast to me, not the going all over the place really fast manuvering spinning ships of the 2004.
Re-insert the TATOOINE Biggs scene into the new O-OT Dvds to make it seem more sense.(the Yavin biggs scene. Its cool non the less, I have a batered version of the Tattoine scene on DVD anyway.
ESB, alright.
ROTJ...
the music video is stupid. We go to a grimmmm setting then to a big DIDGT,JSFAGICO SETCHA! music video thats really stiupid and up beat, then back to the grimmmmmm setting. I think that would belong perfect in the AOTC cantina scene, not here lol.
I think that would belong perfect in the AOTC cantina scene, not here lol.
Well, the only thing I really love in the 2004/97 (even though I havnt seen it, im planning to get it soon) version of ROTJ is celebration. I loved it. The music and the corosant, and everything is perfect. plus I love the trumpet/horn ending right before the credits. It seems more like our group of heros have really done somthing. LIKE SAVE THE GALAXY,NOT ABUNCH OF TEDDY BEARS lol
Comment, please.
BTW THIS IS MY FIRST POST!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH BETTER THAN TFN.COM! NO MODS AND ANYTHING GOES!

What is your favorite film of the six?
Time
Well,
SW-I can watch over and over again.
ESB-Both versions (SE and OOT, theres really no diffrence) are great.
ROTS-To me its like Star Wars, classic film, everythings great.
TPM-Battle scenes, Obi-wan kicks ass when young, the Duel, its all good
ROTJ-The O-OT version is good, the SE is alittle better in my book, because the ending. Read my post in the SE VS OOT fourm about ROTJ ending.
ATOC-Its ALRIGHT, but its not the best.

OT Released AGAIN!!! (DVDAnswers.com article on possible new box set...)
Time
Intresting...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IVE JUST SPENT $49.99 DOLLARS ON THE ORIGINAL TRILLOGY IN JUNE! IM TOO YOUNG TO BE SPENDING MORE REPORT CARD MONEY ON THE ORIGINAL TRILLOGY!
Well, seriously, If they were fixed, I will buy...hey, I got three pairs 5-8 year old cousins on different sides of the family that are into star wars, I was thinking of burning my O-OT DVD's for them, but since not all DVD-R's work on all DVD players, this could be a GREAT Christmas fix!
All im worryed about is price, 20-30 dollars seems reasonalble, but it could be 40.00, in that case, I'm not buying, unless its with birthday/christmas money, but being a purist, and agreeing with the other two posters above, I LOVE the original and special editions (with the exeptions of little things) I would buy this FOR MY SELF if It was a diffrent set then the SE... if it was the SAME EXACT SET (think about it. The discs in the OT all have the box art...this COULD HAVE BEEN PLANNED FROM THE BEGINING!@\) I am not buying it for my self. I would buy it for people who dont have it.
We just need somemore information on the stats off the DVD.
My Reccomondation:
Buy for self: If you got extra money, but this is still yet undertermined due to the lack of facts coming out about the product.
Gift: A must for any casual Star Wars Fan, notice I use the word Casual. I won't spend 49.99 American funds to give a DVD set to 5-8 year old that WILL get screwed up (you should see my little cousins TPM DVD lol) but I will spend 20.00-25.00-30.00 on a DVD set for a few kids, who really dont care for the SPECIAL EDITION or ORIGINAL ORIGINAL TRILLOGY.
For my self, Im probobly going to get it. Just to have. LOL
