Vader needed Luke to feel their pain.
Vader needed Luke to feel their pain.
Palpatine's question in that scene does not make sense. How would the Jedi know anything about Plagueis? It's the same problem with Yoda knowing about the rule two.
I was thinking about a situation similar to this the other day, but regarding the PT specifically.
Supposedly, the first couple edits of Star Wars were train wrecks until competent editors got their hands on it.
Makes me wonder if all the stuff that was shot for the PT would have similar potential with a good editor.
Well, Harmy just posted the changes he's making so I guess he "ruined it" for everyone else too.
Look, I will go edit the post since Harmy's request has apparently been interpreted by everyone as "NO QUESTIONS ALLOWED", which I don't think he meant.

As mentioned before, keep any technical faults you find confined to pm's to Harmy. You're ruining it for other people.
He said that because 2.0 was supposed to be finalized. He's now working on 2.1 so that changes things, don't you think?

Just wanted to say thanks to Harmy and everyone that contributed to this incredible project!
Like Buddy x said, it was mainly the result of the location and not done on purpose for Star Wars. Making of TESB claims it was Kershner who decided to continue to use it as a trope.
Apologies if this has been covered.
It's recently been noted that the exterior shots of the Falcon cockpit have been cropped in Empire. Unless I'm mistaken, there has been some mystery as to why this was done.
Well, the answer seems to lie in The Making of the Empire Strikes Back. See, when George had the cockpit set designed for Star Wars he wanted it be a cramped set in order to reflect real world cockpits.
When it came time to rebuild the set for Empire, Kurtz requested that it be built a bit more spaciously. Why? Apparently, the actors had complained to him that the cramped quarters of the original set were hindering their performance. Lucas didn't know about the change and was not pleased once he found out, but by then the set had been completed and he could not afford the time or money to have it rebuilt.
So, over twenty years later he has the cockpit frames zoomed in and cropped to give the appearance of a more compact space. Why he simply didn't have Kershner film it that way in the first place remains a mystery.
I certainly always saw the Storm Troopers as basically inept.
The Empire had the tech and manpower while the Rebellion had the brains.
Can I get a pm of the wp,please.
