Looks like Comcast’s people screwed up some labeling. According to the guide, Empire is on three times in a row after the prequels.

It’s to wash the taste of Prequel out of your mouth.

Did it take you two hours and 12 minutes to write that reply lol.

Edit: beaten to it by mala. Embarrassing

I didn’t see the second page. My bad. =(

Seeing as how she’s married with children from what I remember you mentioning, that wouldn’t do you any good.

Stop dwelling on her.

EDIT: Just to add, I actually do empathize with your situation to a degree. I’ve screwed up plenty of relationships, but you have to realize that just because two people aren’t compatible it doesn’t mean that either one is evil, bad, or even really at fault. Some things just don’t work out.

This.

You have to keep moving forward. You trap yourself in the past and that does nobody any good.

I really should watch season 2, because season 3 looks pretty awesome.

Just watch the season finale. It’s the only episode worth the effort.

Well that’s a big load of bunk. There’s definitely some filler in there but the majority of it is solid.

Yeah, there are a lot of great episodes in there.

Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth

I love this album and Dead Can Dance in general. There’s just something about the mythical and ancient quality of their sound that gets me right where I live. Yulunga (Spirit Dance) is a great introduction to their sound (as well as Lisa Gerrard’s voice), and finally as an introduction the album, where it sets the tone perfectly. But really, every track is excellent: The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove is a beautiful and haunting breakup song done in classic Brendan Perry style. The Wind That Shakes The Barley is just as haunting itself, but this time with only a stark a cappella performance. Ariadne and Saldek both showcase Gerrard’s otherworldly glossolalia perfectly, and Perry joins in on Towards the Within, while The Spider’s Stratagem is a masterpiece of chanting and music. How Fortunate The Man With None is a great poem adapted into a great song.

10/10 Album

I’ve still barely watched any of my stuff on the DVR. I haven’t watch any of the videos since Monday though, so that’s good.

It is good. Think back to when you first started posting on this topic. It would have seemed unthinkable that you could be doing that much. Sorry to Labour the physical illness angle but if you had heart disease or cancer you wouldn’t be thinking yourself a failure or a coward. You are unwell with an illness which has a lot of unjustified stigma attached to it. Not only are you actively seeking help, you are openly talking about it. You are the counter opposite of a coward. You are a competent and courageous person coping with an unpleasant and difficult to treat disease that most people don’t understand. Persevere and you will get better.

Exactly. Just keep working. Don’t be afraid to talk to the therapist about how you’re feeling and other parts of your life and what you think, but do keep working with him.

Yeah, it almost is. They had all the ingredients there, too, everyone was still young and spy and they had good money and support and the best special effects team in the world and yet Lucas managed to just drop the ball.

It was lessened when the PT came out because those were just unforgivably awful, but now that TFA is out and good, it makes Jedi look worse again.

It had been a while since I’d seen Star Wars, and so I decided I’d throw them on in the background over a few days to get back into them.

Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back were as good as I remember them, but part of the way through Empire (and maybe due to my doing other things at the same time as the film was playing), I got to speculating about what it might be like if Return of the Jedi didn’t exist. It was interesting. For me, Jedi has always been there growing up. The movies always came as a set of three, so I never really stopped to speculate about what could happen in a hypothetical not-Jedi third film. It was interesting.

JEDIT: Oh neat, 10,000 movie posts.
I’m watching Jedi tonight. It’s not bad, as usual. But it could have been so much more.

That’s a shitty thing for her to do no matter what beliefs are held or whether they are correct or not.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, man. I can’t even imagine how hard it is to be on the inside and want out.

Just do what you gotta do until you’re in a position where you can free yourself. Don’t do anything you don’t want to, obviously, but I’d also try not to paint too big a target on myself at the same time. That’s my only advice.

That and don’t go too nuts once you’re on the outside. 😉 The secular world is a big place.

Got a call from a creditor the other day and had no idea why. They left a message.

Today I got a letter from the same agency and apparently the creditor is one “Periodical Warehouse.” I had been receiving magazines for… years maybe… that I didn’t want, nor did I ever sign up for. I called everyone involved and even went to my bank to dispute it and when the magazines stopped coming, I assumed it was over with. And now apparently I owe almost a thousand dollars.

Boy, that’s annoying.
