Ok, I need to b**** about the Windows 10. When I went to bed last night, I left my computer running. I had no real reason to, but it is my computer and if I want to keep it running all night, that should be my right. When I came back to my computer for the first time today, I found out it had automatically restarted for an update. I have no problem having a setting to automatically download, and install updates and restart the computer when necessary. But,

IT SHOULDN’T BE FORCED ON ME!!!

I should be able to set it so it doesn’t automatically restart. I should be able to set my computer to only update manually. But no the stupid forking people at Microsoft don’t seem to understand that! I’m mean how idiotic and stupid do you have to be to not understand that owners of computers should have the right to only update when they want to?!?! This should be basic. My computer should not restart itself unless I want it too. Have these idiots never heard of someone leaving program running overnight??!!?? I would never do it, but I have such a desire to find and beat up Bill Gates. This is just utterly stupid.

Are you sure you can’t change it to ask you before updating? I don’t have Win 10 but every previous version allows this.

Sadly you cannot.

You can, however, set the active hours Settings > Update & security > Change active hours) to overnight and the computer won’t restart while you’re using it, so it won’t automatically restart (I accidentally did this myself and it never automatically restarts anymore).

If you’re on wifi, you can go through Settings > Network & Internet > Wifi > Manage Known Networks, then select your network, click “Options” and enable the “Set as metered connection” option. This “tricks” Windows into thinking you’re using a cell network to connect to the Internet, where you might get charged for using data if the computer were to download updates automatically.

Apparently I sleep incredibly hard because I have destroyed a second air mattress that I will now have to replace.

I would love to just cough up the money for a real bed, but I’m not really in any position financially to do so at the moment (I could buy a bed now, but I’d much rather make sure I can buy a decent car and run it for a few months and have a bit left over for bills and an emergency).

It’s annoying because I can’t have bought this thing more than a few months ago, and it’s brand new and a very nice mattress except for one small patch (which I guess is where my arms get folded up under my chest at night and have somehow worn out the inside of the mattress enough to cause it to leak). Now I’ll be replacing it not long before my financial situation changes and I’ll be finding my own place and buying furniture and all that. The one before had been slept on off and on for years, and this one couldn’t just hold out for another few months? Bleh.

I just had a really incredible nap. I never take naps, but I didn’t sleep well last night at all (woke up with a tweaked back and way too early thanks to my temporary air bed deflating). I had to try twice for this one, man I hit the sweet spot perfectly (not too little where you wake up with a headache and super drowsy, not too long where you basically just sleep).

Feeling super refreshed and relaxed now.

^Why is it laughable to exclude certain iconic visuals from the prequels? It makes sense to withhold these visuals to explore new vistas in the Star Wars galaxy. I only wish he’d done more of that, since every other minute he’s pointlessly referencing something from the OT.

Because he was worried about the impact of the '_Falcon’s" first hyperspace jump, but not worried at all (seemingly) about preserving the saga’s biggest plot twist and reveal.
