Choreography looks good, but I hope the music they used in the trailer isn’t indicative of the music that’ll be in the movie. Especially when the games had such beautiful tracks as;

GTAV wasn’t coming to PC at first either, and GTA Online is now one of my favorite PC games at the moment.

Caught up with AoS today, too. Pretty good episode I thought. Interesting to find out who the Director is (it’s fitting!) and the implications of who the big bad this season is and whatnot. Gonna be interesting!
Just saw the latest episode. To me, it’s pretty clear that Thrawn isn’t interested in small victories: he’s after the whole pie. He’s learning the crew of the Ghost and what makes them tick so that he can take down the entire Rebellion through them.
Taking out Cham and the Ghost in this episode is akin to taking out a bruiser in the mafia; sure you stop him from doing anything else, but the structure is still in place and they’ll just be replaced by someone else later on. Better to learn who they are and what makes them tick so that you can manipulate them into giving you the whole shebang later on. This is just the beginning, and Thrawn’s first interaction with our crew.
JJ was okay for a while, but when the villain actually shows up is when it really gets good.
Still haven’t watched Cage (or DD S2 for that matter, I’m waaaay behind).
Yeah, JJ takes some time to get going, but it’s easily the best series in the group in my opinion. Daredevil is a close second.
Just finished off Luke Cage.
It was good. It wasn’t nearly Jessica Jones good, and I’m not sure it got up to Daredevil standards. I dunno. I feel like it never really found its footing.
I loved the blaxploitation angle. I loved the soundtrack. I loved the characters and the nods to the comics (the outfits!). I loved that they didn’t shy away from the N word or the politics and made it feel “real” without sanitizing it. Luke Cage himself was a badass, Misty was a badass, Claire was a badass, and all the bad guys were appropriately slimy and disgusting people (the moment at the end with Shades and Dillard was just gross).
But it just didn’t really seem to progress or go places like I felt with Jessica Jones or Daredevil. Sometimes after the end of those episodes, I would have to take a moment and just go… “damn. that was crazy.” Shit, I had to stop watching Jessica Jones halfway through because it got so crazy. Luke Cage never really got there for me; it had its moments, but they just never carried the same weight.
I think the largest issue was that it was just so drawn out. We hear about Diamondback for so many episodes and then he shows up and is just crazy (without being an interesting villain or compelling character), but it takes half of the series to get to him, and then they have to pack all his development into honestly about three of the episodes he’s in. And he’s honestly not even the big bad guy of the whole series.
Cottonmouth is built up to be the big bad, then he teases Diamondback as though he’s the bigger bad for half the series, then Diamondback finally shows up and doesn’t have anything interesting or compelling to do, and then he ends up not even being the worst guy, and then by the end of the series we’re basically right back where the series starts and they even say as much, which left me asking “well then why?”
That said, I’m excited to see more of it. The final few minutes of the show teased a lot of interesting things and possibilities. Hopefully the next season will move beyond the formula of the first. I’d like to see some Justin Hammer or AIM or something. Seems like since Justin has been in prison, Hammer Corp has produced some useful shit (someone had to fill the arms R&D vacuum left by Stark Industries).
Personally, I have a theory that the company that made Jessica Jones who she is, IGH, is a play on the comics’ drug known as MGH or Mutant Growth Hormone (or in the MCU’s case, Inhuman Growth Hormone) and that they’re involved in a lot of the Defenders’ lives. It’d be cool if IGH was an AIM front, too.

I always thought Leia was higher than a general. To me, she was always kinda outside the military system and more of an overall commander of the Rebellion. In Empire she was at least equal to Rieekan, I felt.
I thought one of the new canon books said it was turned into an imperial palace.
Possible, I haven’t read any of them.
I dunno, you hear about little rebel groups in places like South America where they give their people overly-important titles.

My favorite part of this project is showing it to friends and then pausing it every few seconds to excitedly explain all your changes, haha.
It’s an interesting connection, but weirdly they decided to add the Jedi Temple to the Coruscant celebration at the end of Return of the Jedi and it looks the same as it always has.
I dunno why the Empire would leave it untouched. Maybe it’s there as a monument to traitors.

But, life gets much more interesting after that happens.

I wonder if we will catch a glimpse of the planet Dantooine from say a probe droid transmitting data back of a deserted Rebel base.
Although we all know the death star plans will be a major plot point, The Empire are looking for the Rebels, and are coming up short on leads. I wonder how much time will be spent on the Empire trying to find the main source of the Rebellion and their hidden Rebel base.
I especially like the probe droid transmitting data back of say the deserted base on Dantooine because it calls back to Empire Strikes Back but it’s a discovery that is made perhaps too late and comes up short but it also ties in to Tarkins “Common knowledge” displayed before Alderaan is destroyed.
I mean, Leia tells them the Rebel base is on Dantooine in ANH and the Empire only later realizes the Rebel base there was abandoned.
Rogue One ends before ANH.
I think they’ll play up his wounds for sure. He’s got a few new scars thanks to the battle.
That “obituary” is misleading and semi-fictional. The reef is in bad shape to be sure, but it is not completely dead by any means. The majority of bleaching occurred at the far north end and surveys indicate that about 22% of the coral is dead. Many scientists have said that it may be too late to save the reef, but it has certainly not been “pronounced dead”.
That’s what I get for not reading! Dammit!

Yeah, I thought it was kinda neat to see it with the visor up.
It’s also an up-armored version of the usual Death Star Gunner look, which is pretty neat as well.
