A new generation has grown up watching interminable (piece of shit) movies such as Pirates of the caribbean and Transformers (or Harry Potter and the endless story, or The Hobbit goes for a 9 hours walk), perhaps that’s why under 150 minutes is considered “too short”…
Yeah. I love the Marvel movies, but they mostly all clock in at well over two hours.

I saw this morning that they’re going to put RDR1 on whatever streaming service it is that lets you play PS3 games on your PS4, which will also make it available on PC? I’m not a Sony guy, so I’m not sure how that works.
This is what kinda worries me. If it’s on PC through the PS Now app or on Xbone’s Play Anywhere thing, they’re less likely to actually optimize it to take advantage of my PC’s power.

GTAV wasn’t coming to PC at first either, and GTA Online is now one of my favorite PC games at the moment.

I’m not nearly as happy with the state of GTA Online. Maybe I’ll pick Red Dead 2 up at some point, but I’m not looking forward to it. I don’t know why they decided it was a good idea to alienate PC gamers. Oh, wait, I do know why;
Really? I can’t get enough GTA Online. I mean everything is stupidly expensive, but I have so much fun just dicking around in it with friends. And the amount of free DLC support has been really great.

JEDIT: Just saw you’re on PC for GTA, I’d love to have it on PC but I just can’t pull myself to spend ANOTHER $60 for GTA V. I bought it first for Xbox 360 and then again for my PS4.

I wouldn’t say that the guy felt like you were wasting his time. I mean, psychologists sort of build their lives around helping people. Don’t worry about that kinda stuff, this is all about you and you getting better after all. It’s fair to feel like you weren’t clicking, though.
I think what would help you most (personally) is a dual psychologist/psychiatrist team where you’re getting both medication and working with someone at the same time. I think you should keep working with the specialist, but if you’re not ready for that yet, that’s fine. Perhaps once the meds kick in and you’ve spent some time with a psychiatrist. In my experience, these things take a holistic approach where you deal with it from several angles.

The technology is already here but yeah it’s not easy and probably never will be.
But those wax works or model busts you can scan for a 3D mesh then you use photogrammetry to skin the mesh.
You can do this with any number of frames from a film to skin say an actors head and create a very real version of anyone. But you do need an accurate mesh to skin.
It is in and from this field where the new wave of technology will emerge from virtual reality / augmented reality / 3D scanning and mapping and 3D printing.
The toys of the future based on say a property like STAR WARS will be the actual full scale props scanned and skinned and scaled down and will be practically 100% accurate. And they can be printed out.

I think the context of the story is helpful for understanding the music.
I don’t really think that the stories follow the same narrative path. Shadows of the Empire was basically scored to the book and it follows pretty well. It’d be like watching Empire with Star Wars’ score.
But the Thrawn Trilogy doesn’t give you any context for the music from Shadows of the Empire. =P

Man you’ve never heard of the Shadows of the Empire Multimedia Project? There was the book and the game and the CD. The music is actually really decent and goes right along with the book. Xizor’s Theme is constantly in my head.

Yeah, for sure. I just always go classical because it gets my brain working and thinking. Anything not-sad is good though.
Stay strong, buddy. Get some exercise, drink lots of water, take long walks, and listen to some classical music. Talk to someone you can trust, too. All those things help me a lot when I’m going through a depression phase. Just keep moving forward, even when it sucks.
