That’s a great texture pack because it keeps the original feel of the game. I’d definitely play with that one.

That’s my biggest issue with texture mods and remasters in general.

Yep, exactly.

I use the Painterly Pack for Minecraft when I play because it keeps the lofi vibe of the game whereas the other popular ones just make it too “HD” and it fucks with it.

Just got through with a play through of ocarina of time. Damn that game is like a spiritual journey for me. I always have to fight tears at the end. With high definition texture packs and ran at 1080p on project 64 it even looks beautiful.

I’m in the process of acquiring what I need to set up a 120 inch projection screen, and paying this game in hd on it is one of the first things I’m gonna do. It all started when I saw an amazon listing for a used projector that normally runs for about 700 dollars for under 300 used. Native 1080p resolution. Now I’m just going to drop about 45 bucks on a 120 screen and I already have a surround sound system… I’m excited. Probably why I’m talking about it in the wrong thread from getting side tracked.

OOT is a yearly playthrough for me. I love it.

I haven’t noticed too much menu performance weirdness, but I do kinda agree that they’re weird.

They started it with Battlefront, and from a design standpoint I love them. They’re super modern and super clean and sexy, but they just don’t fit the spirit of the games. It feels a bit like Assassin’s Creed where you’re (spoilers?) playing a game set in a certain time period through a futuristic modern real-world interface, and that just rubs me wrong, gives it a kinda clinical “you’re playing a game” feel, and takes me out of it immersion-wise. I’d prefer if the menus fit the game.

Since this was the only ep. 9 related thread I could find, I’ll post this here;

Colin Trevorrow’s ‘Star Wars: Episode 9’ Will Be Shot On 65mm Film

(He’d already made it clear he wanted to shoot it on film, but it’s neat to see that they’re going for 65mm.)

Darn, beat me to it!

For what its worth, I agree with Dom and Zkin about Trevorrow. I think he’s got a great chance.
