It had a cute beeping robot. a fun monkey man that was cool but totally superfluous to the plot in all ways, a charmingly chaste love triangle, only one up close death that was no only bloodless, but bodiless. That movie was called "Star Wars."

In "The Clone Wars" I've seen an insane mutilated cyborg living a tortured existence on a hell planet of endless burning garbage, the difficulties of being a regular soldier trying to survive, slave soldiers serving under racist commanders, including being ordered to murder their own friends, and a passionate forbidden marriage kept secret.

I'm not sure the demographics are as "old" or "young" as you simplify them.

I've been watching Andrew Marr's History of the World lately. It's intensely interesting and humourous here and there in the English fashion.

Looking forward to the History Channel's take on the same subject in "Mankind: The Story of All of Us".

I'm glad you posted this, as it was a dream of mine to work at Lucasarts. "Now," I thought, "I'll work for Disney I guess..." but after this news... I don't think so.

At the same time, maybe I'll get to work on a Star Wars movie, though.

I remember being creeped out by point-and-click adventure games like Myst and Riddle of the Sphinx, as well.

I eat a lot of popcorn lately.

There's quite a lot of spooky games.

Amnesia, Slender, Alan Wake, Dead Space, I'd even toss Space Hulk in there.

These are all to varying degrees, of course, and I suppose it depends upon what kind of "scare" you mean.

Watched the MST3K version of Daddy-O, featuring John Williams' first ever movie score.

It's pretty much the old fifties rock stuff, but you can certainly get that John Williams flavour now and then; especially in the fight scenes.

The movie itself... uhhh. Yeah. Pretty much the same old cheesy teens-played-by-thirty-year-olds movie that all those movies were. Glad to have Joel and the bots there with me to make it bearable.

I've started playing through the Zelda series from the very first game. I'm actually about to beat it.

Previously, I'd only been exposed to Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (as the first console I ever owned was an N64) which are both amazing games, but I wanted to go back to the roots of the series and really get a feel for it, and I've also been wanting to get into more retro gaming as it was, so Zelda made a good starting point.

The part that's not so great, but also awesome, is that I'm playing them on an emulator on my tablet. Which is great because I can take it wherever I go and play whenever I want to; but does lack the "authenticity" of the original console.

Either way, it's still a lot of fun. I like not having my hand held throughout the game. It's been pretty great having to find everything for myself with nothing to guide me.

Yes and no.  There isn't a "cure" per se, but you can learn to cope with it via various therapies and strategies.

I didn't mean cure it, since I really don't think most psychiatric conditions can be "cured" at this point in time.

I just didn't know if there were any special therapies or medications for it, beyond just CBT or just exposure to more social interaction.

I would be weirded out by it. Sending pictures to one person you've been close to for awhile, sure, but posting them on the internet out of the blue... ehhh... that smacks of all kinds of psychological distress.

Me getting fired has to do with me having no social skills at all. I've been diagnosed with aspergers before. I think the pictures were an attempt to impress me.

I just meant that Zynga laid off a couple hundred people yesterday during the Apple press conference (lol apple) to keep it quiet, proving once again that this supposed "shift" in gaming to social games is being mishandled and thus will fail. Can you get treated for Asperger's? Maybe it's time to look into that?

I'd still be weirded out by the pictures. There's just something a bit off about someone who would randomly send such intimate photos to someone who they are (apparently) not very close to. There are some boundary issues there at least.
