Was this territory covered in the EU at all? Has someone written about Vader's and Leia's relationship prior to ANH? It sure seems like they are well acquainted with each other and that she is well acquainted with the rebels.

I'm wracking my brain, but I can't recall any pre-ANH stories that really delve into the history between Leia and Vader. They were acquainted at that point in time, yes, but as for specifics ... *shrug*

Leia and Vader have a short encounter on some small planet in the Radio Drama where she's on a mercy mission to an Imperial-controlled planet that she narrowly escapes.

Impressive!

Did you dare ask him any questions?

Sadly no, I was too star struck honestly. Afterwards I thought of about a million. Sigh. He was really nice. I gushed a lot about how he's the real Emperor to me and that I'm a huge OOT fan. He seemed skeptical, I think, his table was pretty empty, sadly. I should have stayed a bit and chatted.

And yes, I am actually Clive Revill.

This will go against my last post a bit, but we do have to remember that the last two Battlefield launches were fraught with bugs, some of which are only just now being addressed in BF4 almost two years later.

Here's a link to a Reddit thread that details what we know: http://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/33h9ax/dice_star_wars_battlefront_info_thread/

The first season is awful, just be aware of that. It continues to get better as it goes on.

 This.

It takes a while to find its feet, but when it hits its stride, it gets incredible. The last few seasons are some of the best Star Wars content we've had in a long time. Dave really did a good job at salvaging the a prequel era.

Stood in line for the panel for this for more hours than I want to remember and then our little group got shut out about two feet from the door, so we didn't get in and didn't get the sweet shirt. This event really should have been put in the big arena and I guarantee they would have filled it. Oh well.

Event logistical issues aside, this game has my money already. It's made me consider rethinking my "no more preorders" policy, in fact. It looks gorgeous. And anyone who has played the last two Battlefield games should understand when I say that I'm glad they're not doing a single player campaign, as DICE trends to waste a lot of development time and money on those, and they're always lackluster. The lack of set classes is really interesting to me, and make me wonder if this is how they will be handling customization when we really don't see to much difference in the look of Star Wars soldiers and especially weapons.

As a person who played both of the original Pandemic Battlefronts and realized they were basically cheap Battlefield knock-offs and always wished that DICE had made them, this is like a dream come true for me. Hopefully they put a bit more effort into making it work before they launch them, unlike Battlefield 3 and 4.

Yeah, my weekend was full of suck just to rub things in. :(

I hope it will return to the U.S. in 2017. It's going to be in London next year, correct?

Yeah, Wook. Tobar says there's a chance it'll be in Japan in 2017, but I could see them doing North America and foreign on alternating years as well. If nothing else, it's clear that they want to do more of them more often.

Plus there are always Star Wars Weekends at Disney World...

Insane how weak they made him in canon, the idea of Vader not snapping Kanan's neck immediately just seems ill-fitting.

When did Vader immediately snap anyone but his underlings neck to give you this expectation?

Yeah, I got the impression that Vader was more testing them and attempting to break them through demoralization than trying to outright kill them as it's painfully obvious that he's totally controlling the fight very easily.

Saw the trailer and the season premier of Season Two at Celebration a couple of days ago and I was totally blown away.

Tobar really summed it up by saying that Season One is all about set-up. If you have given up on this show before the finale, it's akin to giving up on the original Star Wars before they get to Mos Eisley - you don't even know all of the characters yet! The best parts are yet to come, just like in Rebels Season One.

And so far, Season Two is kicking off much like Empire. It's dark and there's not a lot of hope. They're moving out into a bigger galaxy and bigger stakes. There are new enemies to fight, but there are new allies out there, as well.

All in all, I am really excited for Season Two.

Amazing convention. Tobar and I met up and talked about all of you. Mostly how disappointed we were that most of you didn't come.

We saw so much and we missed so much. The decisions were absolutely heartbreaking most of the time, but I'm happy with what I saw and I can see a lot of what I missed on the YouTube channel.

The energy was incredible. It was like being in a room watching the trailers with all of your friends. The fact that you could turn to a total stranger and say "DID YOU JUST SEE THAT?!" and they would be just as excited as you was a great feeling. That connection we all had with not only each other, but the actors and crew on stage was awesome.

I was sitting in the audience with Tobar when this was shown at the Gareth Edwards panel (unfortunately, Josh Trank was sick, or who knows what we would have seen). It looks fantastic. They're bringing in people who worked on movies like Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, and Zero Dark Thirty, so I feel like that's the tone we can expect from this gritty, "real" war movie that relies on the heroism of real people and not magic Force users.

The teaser was fantastic. Jungle planet (or moon), TIE fighter, the Death Star reveal... All set to Old Ben's monologue about how the Jedi were the guardians of peace in the galaxy before the Empire... A subtle bit of the Imperial March as the music hits it's crescendo... Chilling! Can't wait for more of it.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Mr Ghostface said:

If you have sound arguments why I'm wrong, you have my ear and my complete respect.

I think the most obvious argument is just:

I mean, really. People who have donated have done so because they wanted to, because Ady's version of the films was something they wanted to see or aligned (more or less) with what they wanted to see from Star Wars. Maybe you don't like Ady's edits at all, but that doesn't mean that other people don't love it to the point where they're okay with donating money to see it happen. It's like Kickstarter, a concept that may seem dumb to you can really appeal to other people. I myself have bought a lot of media that was widely panned, but I really enjoyed. I'm sure we all have.

I can't speak for everyone, but personally, I'm interested in it because I want to see his versions, Ady has become a very skillful amateur editor/filmmaker due to this project and most of his additions are pretty cool and it's interesting to see what he does. It's the same as being interested in the Special Editions: maybe they're not my favourite versions, but they're still a neat curiosity to see, and I enjoy them for that reason.

You could really make your argument for all fan edits, because what is the point of a fan edit? Most movies that come out are pretty good, why spend your time editing them how you want them? But that's the answer, as well. Because people enjoy the movie and want to put their own spin on it.

Ady's project is certainly personal in a big way, sure, but with the amount of suggestions and comments he's taken and changes he's made because of them, it's also become a community project. A community that formed by their own will around him and his project. It's certainly a labour of love for Ady, he's developed a lot of skill and, sure, he's not using it to make money, but I'm pretty sure that's not the point here. But to that end, it's a labour of love for the people who have contributed, their hard work or money has gone into creating this and they're really as much of this project as Ady himself. It's like any film, maybe the producers don't agree with everything the director does or wants, but they believe in his vision and are thus okay with putting their time and money at stake to complete the project. I don't think people are lining up to kiss his ass, I think they just genuinely enjoy his project.

I'm not sure why you're so bothered by this. I honestly don't see why this is an issue and why you feel like you need to "enlighten" and "save" these folks from this. But just let these nice folks do their thing, they're not hurting anybody, and they don't need people to tell them about life and how to live it. Just tune out, man. If you don't like a project, don't waste your time and energy telling people it's a waste of their time and energy. You'll be happier.
