What if I want to be uniformed?
What if I want to be uniformed?
Yeah I didn’t used to remember my dreams all that often, but something has changed in the last few months. It’s weird!
Battlefront 2 was just announced for 2017, and will evidently include ST-era content:

Yeah, I saw that the other day. Yearly-releases don’t give me much hope for the franchise, unless the lack of content (and frankly gameplay) in the current iteration was due to restrictions and it being more of a proof-of-concept than an actual game.
I’ll keep an eye on it. Maybe they’ll learn from the first one.
It’s not yearly though? Battlefront 2 will come out two years after the first. This really shouldn’t be a surprise anyway with Episode VIII coming next year.
Will it really have been that long? Jeez.
Well, either way, unless another arm of DICE has been working on it for awhile now, two years is not a lot of time to build a complete game of that magnitude.
It’s not really a surprise to me for the reasons you stated as well as the fact that the “FPS Cycle” isn’t a very long thing anyway. I just hope it’s better this time around.
I dream of my ex a lot.
It’s rough.
1313 1 confirmed?
Don’t know if I said it before, but “we currently have no plans …” is a total non-answer. Until they clearly say: “We won’t release the OUT for these reasons …” I won’t give up hope and until they clearly say: “We will release the OUT” I won’t get excited every time the Star Wars facebook page changes its profile pic to an OT scene.
Frankly, your majesty, Frank Your Majesty is right.

This is some horribly depressing news to be honest. Battlefront has only finished up one quarter of it’s intended four parts in its season pass and the last piece of content coming will be in 2017. So there’s a fuck ton of content that still needs to be developed. Not to mention they have Battlefield 1 in development, how do they plan on developing a sequel that improves upon the original with additional content from the ST? What about the PT? Are they going to dump out another pretty looking and sounding game with minimal content and dumbed down gameplay along with a nice 50 dollar season pass?
That’s the worry. Shocking that they’ll be releasing content for Battlefront all the way up until the first half of the year that they launch Battlefront 2 in the latter half of.
Although I do know that DICE Sweden is doing Battlefront, I dunno if they’re doing Battlefield 1 as well.

Do Apple IIs accept water cooling?
Is that a Philip K. Dick novel?
Great, now I’m imagining Frink “plugging into” an outlet.

I honestly had a ton of fun playing Star Wars: Obi Wan on the original Xbox back in the day. The Star Wars-ised monologue from Trainspotting over the end credits was the best part.
Also: since there are so many retro Star Wars games available through Steam and GOG now, how long do I have to wait for Force Commander to come back?

Neat, thanks!
For what it’s worth, while the flying controls aren’t perfect, they’re far from the worst I’ve ever seen. 1st person is hard b/c you can’t control the camera and look around or lock your view onto your target (that I’ve found anyway). But third person is fine b/c the view is wide enough to keep track of your target. I’ve had no problem doing fine in aerial battles or blowing away vehicles and troops on the ground.
I’m playing on a PS4 with the standard controller. I can’t imagine ever wanting to play a flying game with a mouse… Blech!
Yeah I generally wouldn’t play with the mouse if I was more into flight games (I used to have a joystick for that, but haven’t played anything aerial-based in so long that I haven’t gotten a new one), but, that said, you can be an absolute wizard in the choppers in the Battlefield series with a mouse. It is possible to do mouse flying very well.
Speaking of which, a good line from the prequels (if there ever was one) is Padme’s “Oh, but Anakin is just a learner”, while not even looking in his direction.
Hands down for me one of the worst scenes in any of the Star Wars prequels. Its so cringey
NO EXCUSE ME!

I don’t get Markdown at all. HTML makes so much more sense to me. I can’t even make the link target a new tab so you don’t open it in this current tab.
Well there doesn’t seem to be any serious story-focused SW games coming out any time soon. The last proper one was original SWTOR in 2011. I am really not interested in any other kind.
Just wait until E3. I bet we hear something cool.
Third-person action/adventure can definitely be story-focused, too!
I meant to mention the Lego version. Which is fine, let Lego take the film-based games since games based on films that try to be serious very rarely do well.
I think E3 this year will have some good announcements, especially considering EA opted out of the main conference and instead is doing their own event. We already know there’s a third person action/adventure game coming up from Respawn Entertainment (a company founded by the people who made the good Call of Duties), and I’m sure we’ll be hearing about that at least and probably others come June.
