I just slipped again. This is horrible. I can’t stop. It’s getting worse.

You might try to find some way of limiting your internet access so that you’re not tempted to look at things that distress you. I know it’s hard, but you’re going to have to stop yourself from accessing these videos in the same way that someone who is trying to lose weight mustn’t have certain foods in the house. What you have described is almost certainly a form of obsession, but it also sounds like a kind of addiction too, so you have to avoid people, places, and paraphernalia – in other words, anything that might cause you to slip.

Sound advice.

Is there anything that you actually like about the prequels?

The PT is a completely unnecessary telling of events. Everything that even a good PT would have shown is better left to the imagination. The exposition given throughout the OT doesn’t need to be shown to my face. Just like any unnecessary sequel/prequel, the PT just doesn’t need to be there.

I don’t disagree with this either, but eventually they were going to be told and they definitely could have done it in a “not-shit” way.

Episode II is just as extraneous to the plot of Star Wars as Episode I.
Time

Honestly, I’ve been feeling that lately with all the Anthology stuff going around… why not reclassify Episodes I and II as Anthologies (they both tell stories that are interesting to the Star Wars universe, but not exactly vital, much like Rogue One), at least from a personal canon perspective.

Then you could always reshoot Episodes I and II.

I personally never liked the “Machete Order” because you watch two good movies, then have to slog through one awful movie and one meh movie, then by the time you get back to a decent movie, you forget what’s even going on. It’s never a good idea to interrupt a series in the middle with an entirely new series that’s only got rudimentary connections to the first series. It doesn’t serve either series well.

What would you want to see in a prequels reboot?

I don’t think George’s prequels had nearly enough Jar Jar Binks. The first episode should focus entirely on him this time. No Jedi or anything getting in the way.

And the second episode should be a straight romance film with Anakin and Padme. No action of any kind, no other characters. Just scene after scene of awkward, stilted dialogue about sand.

Third episode should literally just be Palpatine cackling for 2 hours and shouting “UNNNNNLIMITEDDDD POWAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!1!!”

Too dense.

Perhaps they are questions the next movie will answer? Then again, I’m still confused on the whole Sifo Diyas buying a clone army thing. 😉

That was the most baffling thing I’ve ever seen on the big screen. I’ve never seen such an unsubstantiated explanation for a major plot point. It isn’t even further explored in the following film.

Yeah, I agree. It’s been more or less explained in the old EU, and there was going to be a Clone Wars episode about it where they finally track down “Sifo-Dyas” and explain what happened, but the show was cancelled before it was released. I think the “Lost Missions” of the Clone Wars are still canon, though, despite not airing.

JEDIT: Ooops, got confused. The episode in question actually did air as episode 13 of Season Six (it’s on Netflix if you want to check it out), and they don’t really answer much given the circumstances.

I don’t even mind a lot of metal, but you have to admit some of the song names are fucking ridiculous, and listening to a super heavy song about crushing babies with a chariot of blood does not make you a smarter/better person. If you like it, fine, whatever, but you have to understand that musical taste is subjective and as crazy as it may sound, some people don’t want to listen to a song about eating the face of a dying virgin while banging the actual axe wound you gave her on a Norse battlefield.

But I think we can all agree that the only musical genres that will enlighten you are classical and jazz, and with that said:
