I don’t disagree with this, but I do agree that his approach is wrong.

This site isn’t really a fan-fiction-oriented site, so looking for writing help here (unless you can get a hold of yotsuya and his team of professional writer friends) seems like it’s kind of a waste of your time, BillionaireHobo.

I can write, sure, but I don’t know the first thing about writing natural dialogue or how to write a compelling romance subplot or action scene. I can’t critique your work because mine would be just as amateur, and I’m willing to bet most of the people here are the same way, which is why the Script Rewrite thread is so barren all the time.

Coming to the main Star Wars board and holding a thread hostage is going to get you more visibility, yeah, but what do you want from us? This isn’t a writing help community, man. And trying to force a community of non-writers and people who (obviously) aren’t interested in fan fiction is only going to garner the reactions seen in these last few pages.
