Do you guys like Two Hearts? I’ve only heard a few songs

Men at Work - Two Hearts

Figured I should give it a listen before I said anything.

I dig that synthy 80s style quite a lot, but Two Hearts doesn’t really have that “Men at Work Magic” that Business As Usual and Cargo (to a lesser extent) had. The music isn’t bad at all, but it’s more generic and mass-produced while losing the boisterous, light-hearted fun of their first two releases. Two Hearts is more Men at Work In Name Only. Also: Where’s the sax?!

Like Cargo, Two Hearts suffers from a bit of the Ringo Starr Syndrome (who Colin Hay actually played with for a time), where they let the other guy (in this case Greg Ham, as founding member and “alternate vocalist” on Cargo Ron Strykert left the band during the recording of Two Hears) sing a couple songs, and the album suffers for it.

That said, Stay at Home, Hard Luck Story, and Snakes and Ladders are decent songs. However they lack the charm of the band’s big hits and so they don’t really feel like Men at Work songs.

Worth a listen? Maybe. Nothing really stands out as incredible though.

5/10 Album
8/10 Art

Classic album.

Also:

Men at Work - Business As Usual

8/10 Album
6/10 Art

And:

Men at Work - Cargo

7/10 Album
8/10 Art

Settle Down My Boy and I Like To are terrible songs, but the album is redeemed by songs like Overkill and It’s a Mistake.

If you only saw old WWII movies set in just one theater of war, you would not see all the vehicles used throughout the entire conflict. It’s like asking why we didn’t see submarines in Patton.

Yeah, that’s what we’re seeing in shows like Rebels: Different Rebel factions bring different ships (the Rebels crew has A-Wings and a B-Wing) and then they all come together at the time of Jedi for the big fight.

It’s a cool concept, and even though the Rebel cell we see in Rogue One is the Yavin IV cell we saw in Star Wars, when we see them in the film there’s not really any need to drop troops on the Death Star, so it’s not a stretch to imagine they were moved out of the hanger before the pilots strapped into their X- and Y-Wings.

It blows my mind that it’s 2016, smack in the middle of online play being applied to almost every game, and companies are still farming out their multiplayer elements to worse development teams, foregoing basic anti-cheat features, foregoing basic balancing, and basically taking a hands-off approach to the whole deal.

Just don’t put MP in if that’s your approach to it.

The Division was completely ruined by a wild lack of developer care, GTAV Online has only just gotten to the point where it’s playable without cheaters (three years later), Rainbow Six: Siege fell flat on its face right out of the gate for poor anti-cheat. It’s ridiculous.

I think her performance felt very forced and like she was trying too hard.

Then that means Margot did a good job because that’s what the character is in general.

How do you mean? The only version of the character I’m even slightly familiar with is the one from the 90’s cartoon show. She seemed effortlessly crazy, like the joker.
But, again, I’m not very familiar with Batman. The Adam West series and 90’s cartoons are the only Batmans I’ve liked.

The Joker and Harley are made to be the epitome of madness almost to a fault. Their history has been a series of trying to outdo the previous incarnation to the point that the latest incarnation of the Joker cuts his own face off. Having stated that I don’t know how you can “try too hard” with characters like this.

I dunno, it seems possible to me.

Well if the U-wing is more of a transport than a fighter, it’d make sense that it doesn’t appear in any battles. Then again it doesn’t look like a transport so who knows.

From what they said on The Star Wars Show, it’s more of a fighter/gunship/transport (kinda in the style of the Republic Gunship, I guess). So it can probably only hold a squad or two in the bottom part.

It’s been growing on me. Still not my favorite design.

It’s so weird to me that people say that the band in the bar in Star Wars only played one song on repeat. They play that one song once and then play another that nobody remembers and that song gets the bigger cheer from the audience!
Idiots!

Agreed.

We were in the cantina for, what, ten minutes or so? How many songs were they supposed to play?

They should have played Rock Lobster once.

It’s too long! The whole cantina scene would have just been Rock Lobster!

EXACTLY

You’re a madman!

this reality is frequently broken by L8wrtr’s version with their poor audio cuts

I don’t know if you watched an old version or something but I showed my kids his whole trilogy not too long ago and I didn’t hear any poor audio cuts.

Talking about jarring audio cuts, the theatrical (!) version of AOTC has a few during the Coruscant Chase (the energy coupling part), so it’s really a win-win situation to watch a fan edit instead of the original version for this one.

I assume you’re talking about Obi-Wan’s lines after they get shocked? That was always jarring to me, but I always thought it was intentional to convey that they were being zapped and were thus having trouble speaking. Like when Jar-Jar put his face in the smaller version on Anakin’s podracer.

For some reason I’m itching to play a Spidey game as good as 2 on PS2. Have any of the PS3 era titles been with playing?
Btw I hated Ultimate. Just a huge letdown.
Why don’t they realize all we want to do is swing around and have fun is beyond me…just like they thought we didn’t want a fantastic next gen Indy game…

I have no idea what Spider-Man games are good or bad, but they did tease a new one coming out for the PS4 at E3 this year
