Um, they actually brought McGregor back and mixed their voices together.
Um, they actually brought McGregor back and mixed their voices together.

Wasn’t there something about them bringing back Hayden for it? He wore it pretty well in ROTS.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything so untrue in my life.

Just make note of which version you’re watching. There are six official cuts of it floating around. The most common one is likely the Final Cut. It’s not the best. Most seem to prefer the Director’s Cut.

In some alternate dimension Buckaroo Banzai has a much better comic book existence of which the film is but a pale shadow.
The novel is actually pretty well regarded. As for comics, they do actually have a series set after the films. Same writer throughout every medium.
Do you think they found a look-a-like for Peter Cushing?
They had one for ROTS:

He was mostly prosthetic.
Nice catch! Always wondered why we never saw him in Empire.
No I’m not. Sadly I don’t have a computer capable of playing modern video games anymore, so it’s only Duke Nukem and Doom for me when it comes to computer gaming, Haha! When I get a new machine I’ll be sure to join up though!
Well in the meantime, don’t forget that GOG is there to serve all of your retro gaming needs.
Totally underselling Ant-man, that was great. There’s something to be said for Thor and First Avenger. AND you’ve completely neglected AOS, Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
They haven’t really said one way or the other yet. I suspect it’ll be a part of the MCU seeing as it’s live action.
This seems to be Marvel’s answer to DC’s very successful stable of young adult targeted programming on the CW. Will be interesting to see if it turns out well and finds an audience.
It’s pretty objective heavy in the beginning to familiarize the player with all of the various mechanics. Once you’ve cleared out your first area it opens up a bit more and you’re free to roam and tackle whatever you want outside of the story missions. I believe there’s a video capture mode you can use to disable the HUD. Oh and yeah the handling and everything else about your vehicle do improve with the various upgrades. Tires play a big part in that.
As for Firewatch, yeah it’s sadly become a modern trend of the genre. Multiple endings used to be standard but they’ve become the exception. I think it’s still an engaging experience and I expect this studio’s next game will expand and improve on a lot of the aspects that this one fell short on.
I haven’t played through it again myself but I have watched someone else’s playthrough. It’s interesting seeing what other people bring to and get out of the game.
No, no, they just haven’t had many good films. That show was the last straw.
That’s just crazy talk.
Marvel has confirmed a new series is on the way:

This exciting new series is an adaptation of the beloved Marvel characters aimed squarely at young adults. This live-action interracial romance follows Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart—but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.
So are we experiencing a sudden influx of trolls or what?
Isn’t Felicity Jones’ character supposed to be Han Solo’s ex girlfried?
Nope, that was Bria Tharen. Felicity’s character’s name is Jyn Erso.
Some are speculating that she might be the mother of Rey with Luke.
Fun theory time!
Tyrphanax and I have theorized that MAYBE some of these characters are from Al Williamson newspaper strip run.
Moustache man could be Vrad Dodonna:

Caped Imperial Officer could be Amise Griff:

One can only dream! =P
I’ll never understand why they ever said that the novels are canon )unless its a misunderstanding and they meant the new-EU novels and NOT the movie adaptations). If they are then Owen is Obi-Wan’s brother and Padme married Bail Organa.
They gave the caveat that they’re canon in so far as only the parts that don’t contradict the prequels.
Mon Mothma is easy to explain.
The one that is/would be hard to explain is Biggs.
If that is Biggs then we do actually have a continuity problem on our hands. When Luke runs into him at Tosche Station he states his intentions of jumping ship and trying to join the Rebellion. He doesn’t supposedly join the Rebellion until sometime after that before Luke makes it to the Hidden Base.
Now, some will say that it’s a deleted scene and therefore doesn’t count. HOWEVER, it’s been officially stated that the novelizations of the films are canon and that scene is included in the novelization of Star Wars.
Theories?
Midnight Special (2016)
What to say about this film? It’s…competently made. Basically a pastiche of a number of past films.
Namely, D.A.R.Y.L., Starman, E.T. and an episode of The X-Files.
You can feel the influence of all these things throughout the film. Unfortunately, it never really does anything new or interesting with them. The performances throughout however are pretty solid. The standout being newcomer, Jaeden Lieberher. He does an excellent job with the role. I think he has a bright future ahead of him.
The biggest failing of the film is that you’re never really made to care about the characters. They’re never given any room to breath and so there’s no time to get to know them. As such you’re never really all that invested in their journey or in their success. A pity as with a little tinkering this could have been a memorable homage to a forgotten subgenre.
Mon Mothma’s been a founding member of the Rebel Alliance for as long as there’s been an expanded universe.
Please try to remember it’s a Rebel Alliance. It’s made up of a lot of different cells across the galaxy. Mothma was probably running a different division before they were all united in ROTJ.
Oh, al polished floors to the Empire are an addition that comes straight from TFA. OT Star Destroyers and sets had dull floors I think. (everything reflective screams non-used universe to me in star wars).
Looks pretty shiny to me:

=P
