and George ended up nicking the idea.

Fixed that for you. Even Dave the main show runner for the Clone Wars told him, "But...you killed him. Remember?"

While I highly doubt George has ever bothered to get into the Star Wars novels. It's a pretty safe bet he gets a kick out of the comics. What with his incorporating Aayla Secura into AOTC and the throw away line about Quinlan Vos in ROTS.

Star Trek: Voyager (1995-2001)

This show was really hit and miss. Seasons 1 and 2 were very bland. Season 3 was an improvement. Seasons 4 and 5 were good and then it fell apart in season 6. The last season was okay. Except for the finale. That was garbage. I haven't seen a worse ending since Mass Effect 3. That show really needed a guide. Instead it just kind of wandered all over.

Small article at Empire. Nothing new.

I wouldn't say this is nothing:

"There are infinitely more questions than answers right now, but to me, they’re not that dissimilar. Though I came at these both from very different places, where they both meet is a place of ‘Ooh, that’s really exciting.’ And even though I was never a Star Trek fan, I felt like there was a version of it that would make me excited, that I would think ‘that’s cool, that feels right, I actually would want to see that.

How we were going to get there, what the choices were going to be, who was going to be in it – all of those things I knew would have to be figured out, but it was all based on a foundation of this indescribable, guttural passion for something that could be. It’s a similar feeling that I have with Star Wars. I feel like I can identify a hunger for what I would want to see again and that is an incredibly exciting place to begin a project. The movies, the worlds could not be more different but that feeling that there’s something amazing here is the thing that they share.”

I don't know why so many fans are having problem with Luke and Leia being siblings.

And the kiss in ESB really isn't any kind of romantic kiss. It is basically just an angry reaction from Leia to shut up Han.

1. It wasn't planned. It was a band-aid after Lucas decided he was going to quit after ROTJ.

2. Luke has had a thing for Leia since SW77. Even going so far as to play on her sympathies to get more smooches on at least two occasions. =P

The Punisher (2004)

I really liked this film, and I wish more comic books films were made this way. The character development was well done, and I loved how Castle manipulated the Saints and their people into doing his job for him. It's a shame Thomas Jane never got to reprise his role in a sequel; I'd definately would have loved to see where they would have gone with his story.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999)

I came into the show late when it originally aired and only caught a few. I had no idea what was going on and didn't bother to stay with it. Now I wish I had caught the whole thing from the beginning. This was a great show and a breath of fresh air. It made TNG feel cold and impersonal in comparison. The series finale was really bittersweet. This is definitely my favorite series after TOS.

Disney looking at SW Land for its parks? Say it ain't so! Please no Disney. Stop commercializing DLand. Do whatever the fuck you want to California Adventure, but Disneyland should be above blatant tie-ins for the sake of money like that (although it's becoming more and more apparent they disagree with me on that one.) Take the new Cars Land. It's a lot of fun, but it's a great example of what's wrong. It's just marketing and (eventually) free advertisement instead of a truly unique parkgoing experience. SW Land would be the final nail in the coffin for me. Tomorrrowland's premise is basically already forgotten.

That said I grew up in the '90s and it's likely I'm just some stupid manchild too blind to see that was the park's purpose in the first place. I'm attached to how they were able to separate the park itself from their properties - yes, there are rides specific to many of them, but the areas themselves are unique. I just... oh whatever.

They gave up on that a long time ago once they started incorporating characters from the POTC movies into the ride. Heck even It's a Small World is filled with Disney characters now. At least they only convert the Haunted Mansion for a limited time around Halloween.

I for one have always longed for a Star Wars theme park. So I hope they do it well.
