This behind the scenes footage from ESB is fantastic!

He could be your new sidekick! =P
Oh man you are in for a treat. The Time Tunnel is great. I love all of the old Irwin Allen shows.
I have no problem with Jedi in the Dark Times era. What I take issue with is that it's supposed to be Vader's job to hunt down and destroy the Jedi. Not these dark suited weirdos.

I think one important thing to point out is that if people (in general) don't care about SE revisions, then they also wouldn't care about the lack of them. Disney must know this.
Actually it would be their strongest selling point.
The "excitement" of picking up the latest re-release to see what else has changed has worn off.
Now all they have left is to throw out the triumphant return of the theatrical editions brilliantly restored for the first time on blu-ray to drive up sales.
This brings in the large segment of people who stopped purchasing because of the SE nonsense.
So Jonathan Rinzler the man behind the awesome series of Making Of book for the Star Wars trilogy recently did an AMA on Reddit.
Out of that came this very interesting tidbit:

Jonathan, In your mind, does Boba Fett Escape the Sarlacc Pit?
JonathanRinzler 38 points 21 hours ago
Yes, he does. I have been in meetings with George where he confirms that Fett survived. If it comes from George then it’s true!
There are lots of interesting things in there like Coppola sitting in with George helping him edit animatics for ROTS.
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949)
As Mr. Toad said, "What have I been missing?!?" Great duology.
Cinderella (1950)
I was SHOCKED at how much of this film turns out was ingrained in my brain as a child. It was just a constant barrage of "I remember that!" throughout the whole picture. Quite a bizarre experience.
Alrighty folks, it's time for a Marvel news round up!
First up is the first official image of Ultron:

Followed by the first batch of promotional images!
Third, we have a slew of plot details that have been confirmed. Which I will leave as a link for those that want to avoid spoilers.
And lastly, we have some news about the Netflix Daredevil series:
Peter Shinkoda has been tapped for a major recurring role in Netflix’s Marvel drama series Daredevil set to premiere in 2015. The series was written by executive producer Drew Goddard, with Steven S. DeKnight as executive producer/showrunner. Daredevil is the first of four 13-episode superhero series set in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. Shinkoda, repped by D2 Management and Characters Talent Agency, will play Hachiro.
So it looks like news of this is spreading elsewhere.
That article made my blood boil.
Edit: Ah, I misread it. I thought he was advocating they continue to bury the OOT.
Here's a direct link to their demo reel with the Star Wars footage.
Anyone care to create a comparison with the blu-ray?
I saw that ending. I think you're reading a bit much into that clock.
Wait, why does it sound like the ending you saw was different from the one I did?
I could have sworn I shared that here before. I'd love to see it adapted as an anime. =P
THE STRAIN (2014)
Guillermo del Toro needs to start developing more series immediately. The first episode of this new show premiered tonight. It has all the makings of something epic. This is going to be awesome.
I like this. Oh and happy birthday Harrison.

Sleeping Dogs (2012)
Went into this knowing very little. Just that it was an open world game set in Hong Kong. Turned out to be a fantastic game. Good story, solid combat and it's just fun to wander around the island. Definitely look forward to any sequels in the franchise.
Spec Ops: The Line (2012)
Like Sleeping Dogs I didn't know much about it before diving in. Just that it has a reputation for not glorifying war and making you question yourself. There's not much I can say about it other than that I do recommend it.
I know that this is beside the point but I felt I should point out that is just a water monitor. You'd never find a trainer willing to wrangle a Komodo Dragon, they're far too dangerous to have on a film set.

Episode made me feel like I put the wrong disc in or something because the title of the episode happens after something that seems like it could be an episode title but isn't.
I'm having a heck of a time trying to decipher this sentence.

My only question is, what in the world is a Jedi wig?
This thread is getting too serious.

You have to hear Mike's side. I believe he feels that Trek 09 is the best movie, as in general audience movie.
When asked what was the best Star Trek movie he chose Trek 09 and described it as Star Trek "coming into its own." and STID as being impressive. This even left the writer guests they had on speechless. =P

Here is what the writers of the new trek just don't understand. The reasons we love Kirk and he has become a timeless character have nothing to do with internet memes about how awesome Kirk is. We don't love Kirk because he beds green alien woman,we don't love Kirk because he kicks everyone's asses in fistfights, and we don't love him because he refuses to obey the rules. No we love him because he has a strong moral core in addition to those things and without that moral core he is nothing. remember the framing device for Star trek is that these are entries from kirk's official logs that go to starfleet so every time he breaks the rules he is putting it in the ship's log, that is how much his word means to him. He know it could cost him his job but he is not about to lie or put his crew in the position of having to cover up for him when he breaks the rules. If he breaks them it's for a good moral reason and his only defense he explaining why he felt the rules had to be broken that is one reason we love him.
This.

Sorry but they stated lazers can't pass through deflector shields and the Star Wars ships can't fight at lightspeed or faster and some of those number are way off. I mean if the Empire's ships can travel that fast then there is no way Han could ever escape them with the falcon traveling at a mere point five past light speed and besides if we go by what is shown instead of dialog then in Star Trek five the Enterprise traveled from earth to the center of the galaxy in a couple of hours.
The infamous "no lasers" argument.
In one particular episode of TNG, we heard the following exchange:
DATA: Sensors report a minimum range combat craft of the Squadron Class, twenty-six crew.
WORF: Captain, they have locked lasers.
PICARD: Lasers?
RIKER: That won't even penetrate our navigational deflectors.
Literary method: they seem to be saying that their navigational deflectors are immune to lasers, probably because lasers are supposed to be less advanced than phasers. Some people feel that this means any Federation ship could shrug off any laser, even a monster laser that can blow up planets. Others feel that Riker was factoring the ship's small size into account, and that his statement was not meant to be so over-arching. However, it is impossible to conclusively resolve this argument one way or another unless we can get some kind of official statement from the author on the episode, and that's not forthcoming.
Suspension of Disbelief: it is scientifically impossible for any kind of shield to block infinite amounts of laser energy, because the second law of thermodynamics prohibits 100% efficiency devices and light carries momentum equal to U/c, so there are two mechanisms through which increased power levels would eventually overwhelm any blocking system. Therefore, Riker was either an idiot or he was taking the enemy ship's small size into account when he made his statement. Case closed.
The Federation controls a portion of a single quadrant of the galaxy. The Galactic Empire controls their entire galaxy.
When the U.S.S. Voyager was flung to the other side of the galaxy they estimated it would take 75 years to make it back home.
In Star Wars their galaxy can be traversed from one end to the other in a matter of weeks.
