At Celebration this year Dave Filoni revealed they had already worked out how to end The Clone Wars. It was to continue into the events of ROTS.
Sounded to me like they were planning on only going to season 8 or possibly just a full season 7. So they got cut off right as they were winding down. Which is why I'd still like to see them finish what they had started. (Bonus: Ahsoka leaving the order wasn't supposed to be her departure from the series)
That first comparison looks great though it looks like a bright star in the left corner has gone missing during the clean up. What steps are you taking to make sure the starfields remain intact?

....you have odd ideas about what a restoration is. Every version of the originals you've ever seen has had the reel change marks. They were on all prints. They're part of the film.

The first season is awful, just be aware of that. It continues to get better as it goes on.

In Rebels its established that Tarkin is hated and even has a refuge camp named after him. Vader is unknown to most of the greater galaxy. While nothing has really been said about the Emperor but everyone knows he founded and rules the Empire.
They already brought back Frank Oz to voice Yoda in Rebels. I don't see why they wouldn't bring him back for a film.
Star Wars isn't lightsabers. There's an entire galaxy of stories out there and the Jedi make up only a small portion of them.
We're LONG overdue for the roughnecks to get their day in the suns.

First bit of news is that the standalone films are officially being titled Anthology films.
They showed a teaser.
It starts in a jungle above a raging river. The camera starts to travel along this canyon and above in the sky you can see a massive planetary mass in the sky. As the camera comes around a bend you see that the mass is in fact the Death Star!
Fade to black as the logo comes up and you can hear frantic chilling radio chatter before the logo glitches out and it all falls dead quiet.
