I can try to remove “they fly now,” lol.
Oh please do, I thought that removal was a given.

Don’t know if you guys realised but Coruscant has twin sons, not shown in Prequels but its in Return Of The Jedi and Clone Wars.
I’m not seeing any evidence of that.
To add to that:
I prefer to emphasize names and voices that we came up with ourselves. Ideally, it would be a bunch of fan edit enthusiast inserting themselves into the universe directly.
Was it this one? I saw that the other day when I was looking up an airing order list. It intrigues me and I might give it a go someday.
As for the concept of escalation with Batman, I’d say that dates back to the original Batman: Year One that follows the start of his crusade. There’s actually a great list of the comics that continue on from there here. The Archie Goodwin run of The Legends of the Dark Knight was phenomenal.
I think the added glow draws too much attention to them and brings out the seams. They don’t blend anymore. It was much more affective when they were more faded, almost a whisper. It was perfect a couple iterations ago.
I think it’s fine to keep the Burning Homestead cue. It’s perfect in the moment. None of the other alternatives pack the right punch for that scene.
I always thought it must have been recycled footage from a different project.
Or better yet… hold out hope that @jonh can make a Shaw-version of his amazing scene!
I’ve secretly been hoping this is a possibility but I know it’s highly unlikely.
That’s really only true of that first two-parter and that was due to Fox meddling. After that they kept to the intended original airing order. You could easily just watch both parts to that first arc and then continue on with the list without rearranging anything else.
The production order really irks me because Joker’s Favor is such a better introduction to this iteration of the Joker over what you’d get from starting with Christmas With the Joker.
I hope you’re watching Batman in airing order and not in the ridiculous production order that it has always been released in ever since.
I’d prefer it stay blue for consistency’s sake but I haven’t seen the yellow variant.
Sorry if this has already been discussed but have there been any attempts to cut out the Goonies-esque dagger sequence?
I was wondering if it would be possible to edit that scene in a way that she has a vision of the throne room while looking out at the wreckage and then a camera zoom to the specific location.
Yeah, poor Finn.
This is all starting to sound very convoluted. It’s a nice idea in theory but it doesn’t seem practical to pull off in a a simple straightforward way.
I’m surprised this is going up on their Youtube channel. I thought this was a D+ series.
Does anyone have any sound effects laying around that could depict bursting through the ice wall, maybe some shimmer or WOOoooosh of trailing off into hyperspace?
The problem isn’t that the TIE is still operational, it’s that there’s never been evidence that the old models had Hyperdrives and plenty of evidence that they did not. Besides, the shuttle is more specifically tied to Vader’s fate in ROTJ.
In fact it’s always been explicitly stated that they do not in the old canon and the new.
And the original film verifies this:
Ben Kenobi: It’s an Imperial fighter.
Luke Skywalker: It followed us!
Ben Kenobi: No, it’s a short-range fighter.
Han Solo: There aren’t any bases around here. Where did it come from?
Oh no!
I worked with him briefly on a project a while back. He was a very generous person. I can’t believe it.
I’m out of it for a little while and everyone gets delusions of grandeur!
I had no idea this edit had picked up so much steam! Looks like I have a lot to catch up on.
Looking forward to it but I have a suggestion. I highly recommend watching it in chronological order instead of the original airing order. George Lucas was heavily involved with the first half of the series and he had a habit of telling the stories out of order. So watching it in airing order can be really confusing because one week someone will have died and then the next they’re just fine. It’s really odd.
Also, the first season is really rough. They hadn’t figured out what the tone should be and leaned heavily in a childish direction. With the chronological order you get some decent later season episodes dispersed between the early ones and it really helps with the tone.
At one time they were also available to purchase digitally on amazon, but I don’t see them there anymore either.
Wow! They did take them down for digital purchase! That’s a shame, I kept procrastinating on it.
So did the Jerba inspire this critter Wicket is riding on?
Don’t know if it’s appeared in other Ewok stories…
In the Expanded Universe and now in the new canon, those are called Bordoks. They appeared regularly in the Ewoks animated series and have continued to pop up every now and then in comics and even video games. Personally I love that Terryl Whitlatch embraced them and showed what they’d actually look like with a more realistic depiction in her book The Wildlife of Star Wars:

Wow, I did not know the reasoning behind that cantina matte painting. Awesome.
I did know it was a Jerba but I’ve never seen the photos of it with Lucas and Carrie! Those are fantastic, I’ve always wanted to get a clear look at its face! Because…
Bonus small detail:
One of the trophies on Jabba’s wall is a Jerba!

Here’s a new one on me. I don’t recall ever hearing about this before until very recently. One of the Jawas isn’t wearing their mask and so you can see their actual eyes and mouth:

I believe it’s one of the 12 children they recruited to fill in the ranks. Possibly even Tiffany Kurtz.
If someone can capture a still from the new 4K transfer we can probably get a better look.
I actually think if one were to spend more time training the algorithm to learn Carrie’s facial mannerisms it could fix her mouth.
Here’s an example of it doing just that with Robert De Niro’s mouth.
