looks great!!! keep up the good work :)
djsmokingjam said:Just to note that it's not a fanedit - it's a preservation of rare materials not available on commercial DVD. More details on this to come, some very exciting developments!
yes, but we would be happy to list this at fanedit.org as a special edition. :) cool stuff you did here!!
sounds good. looking forward to the result :) keep up the good work
anyone interested in the v1 of Beauty and the Beast, I've upped it to RS. you can either check tehparadox or PM me about it.
part37 (of the HD video) has been reuploaded. PM me if anyone still needs the links
fanedit.org is not gone. we are back. and I have just confirmed that the download for part 37 of the HD version is corrupt. I will upload that part again and post the new link as soon as i can.
here is a cover I put together for Beauty and the Beast if anyone is interested:
EDIT EDIT: fixed cover art available HERE
thanks to MattMahdi's help, I have gotten a copy of the HD v2. I've uploaded that and a DVD9 version to rapidshare. check fanedit.org for more info.
you can get filters for virtualdub to add this effect. Sony Vegas also has some built in filters that aren't that bad. And you can always get additional plugins for Vegas.
Ripplin said:Nice find. :) One thing I like about having the PT in silent mode is that it hides some of those HORRIBLE sound effects! Some of them bugged me even more than Jar Jar! Specifically, it's that stupid warbling thing Ben Burtt seems to have become obsessed with. I can't stand it. Even the stupid creatures in the arena do it.
arggggg, that warbling sound. what is his deal with that?
anyway... cool project TMBTM!
we do NOT sell this stuff.
this is turning into a fantastic project. can't wait to see what comes of it.
The NTSC version is up on rapidshare now. you can check fanedit.org for more info
Vegas doesnt handle MPG (here in your case in VOB format) editing that well. I have never had good results with this. You are correct though that lossless AVI is going to require a TON of space.
for best quality, its probably best to rip the dvd to a lossless AVI, then when you are done editing frameserve to CCE to render for DVD.
Sluggo said:For those of you who are stuck on the idea of Yoda somehow looking younger, I think that latest Octorox pic is what Yoda should have looked like as a younger version.
fully agree. TPM yoda always looked like he was stoned. Your effort here is fantastic! Not only does yoda maintain a "younger" quality, but his look is one we recognize, and its focused. Keep it up!! I just hope someone can replicate this concept in video format.
Puggo, thanks for the clip. I watched it, and its amazing!!! It was such a special feeling to see Star Wars in this form. I really look forward to all you hard work. thank you.
wow, that last test looks awesome. its amazing how much difference those eyes make.
yes, but Ep1 yoda looked terrible. by Ep3 they got it better, but any way to make Yoda look more like the OT would be incredible.
i love that first pic you posted. It would be really cool if someone could do that.
i think DVD Lab Pro is a great option. I use Sony DVD Architect. Its also extremely flexible, and I can design all my menus in Photoshop and import the layered .psd into Architect to create the custom menu.
fantastic stuff. I am so excited about this Puggo.

I'm not sure what your problem right now is. DVDFab doesnt do anything to the files, it just copies them to your HDD without region coding/encryption.
Asteroid-Man said:would those 6 frames really make that much of a difference?
umm, yes! 6 frames a second makes a huge difference.
