To mirror movealong's thoughts, when using jpg, keep the maximum quality, least compression. File size depends on color complexity really. Can be anywhere from 1.5 - 8 MB really. 3 or 4MB is more common.
weird indeed. I don't know why you are having issues with it. can you DL other covers from there? if you cant get it, send me a PM with your email addy, and I can mail it to you.
OK, I will upload the G4 cover tomorrow for you Also, I just downloaded the SW Hype cover, and it worked fine. There are actually two covers in the rar archive
...and I didn't do an extended edit of Alien, however I did create a cover for someone who did.
SE Hype is on fanedit.org. just go to the main site and search for it. The artwork download is on the info page for SE Hype. I made a cover for G4 icons that I can upload if you are interested
Wow, seems I may have this topic all to myself. I just about have a volume 3 of year 5 ready. Should be completed this weekend and available in the beginning of the week. Here is what it is looking like so far:
Main Features: -G4TV Exclusive inside look at the Order of the Phoenix -Harry Potter - The Costume Drama -MTV’s Order of the Phoenix: Making The Movie
Bonus Featurettes: -Ebert & Roeper Review -HP World highlights -Extras feat. Daniel Radcliffe
There is a bit more room on the disc, so there may be some other things.
I really need help with some decent quality material for the first 4 books/films. The stuff I am able to scrape up is mostly pretty crappy quality. So I would like to add a little bump out there for anyone who might have some stuff or know of some good things to look for.
as far as I know, that is no longer in existence. by BH do you mean Babyhum? if so, they are all at fanedit.org The DVD Holocron started a little collection of covers, but that site has been down a while
Its cool to see so many people jumping in to help fix the encode problem. This is such a great project. i know this will get worked out, and no matter how long it takes it will be well worth it.
seems like it still could use a bit more brightening, but really looks OK considering it was from a VHS source. The LD image seems to have a ton of artifacts in it.
Here is a sort of related question ..... for some of these older video games, when you try to install, some want to install an older version of direct X, but will not accept the new version. And I dont know how to bypass that or get it to recognize the new version. I definitely dont want to install an archaic version of direct x. Anybody know any way around this. I would love to play some of my older Star Wars games on my PC.
someone sent me some blanks a while back for vol6, which I was going to copy after receiving the disc from InvisibleWolfMan. Well, we never really finished that transaction (yet), so whoever sent me the discs, PM me, and we can straighten things out. We will eventually get this out to the masses, everyone just seems really busy at the moment.
also anyone, PM me if you are looking for the first 2 volumes, we can work something out. I'll probably try to get vol2 up to rapidshare soon.
Ady, I finally had a chance to watch this last night. It was simply amazing. Thank you. I left a lengthier comment over at faneditforum but I just wanted to add another Thank You here. Perfect!!
