An easy way to check for sure whether or not its DVD5 or DVD9, is to just pop it in your DVD-ROM drive, and look at the size. If its greater than 4.7GB it definitely is a DVD9 (dual layer).
...anyway not to get too off topic. Ady, I am really looking forward to your DVDs, and am gonna grab both the DVD5 and DVD9 versions once they are out. Thank you so much again.
for the tech related question, ...you can get decent results with CCE and DVD-Rebuild doing a many pass shrink. minimum 3 passes, 5 better, up to 9 or 10 very nice. BUT if there is a lot on the DVD9, it may be noticeable no matter what
everything looks good. for a quick suggestion, you may want to consider putting the text in all caps. Seems to be pretty standard for all subtitling and other text additions. I think because I am accustomed to this, the lower case really stands out and seems awkward.
thanks for posting that kaine23 Some of my others are also up now. These are all on the 'spleen now
TCSW001 - Star Wars Lego Edition TCSW002 - Revenge of the Spoofs TCSW004 - A Flash of Spoofs (single layer version) TCSW005 - George Lucas: All Things Digital
well, the lossless codecs dont compress the actual audio, but help with the file size, thats the reason for it. You are still getting lossless audio, but people have slightly less to download. Though, I am up for any lossless, whether it is wav, flac, ape, whatever
A single layer version of this is up on the spleen. A friend made it from the original dual layer using a 10 pass shrink with CCE and DVD-rebuilder. This is great quality. I made one a while back with 5 passes, and thought that one looked great.
