Will we ever see the original trilogy released

And Disney owns Lucasfilm. Makes sense for them to not give FOX a new material they may have.
Oh man, what if we get the theatrical cuts with the truncated new Lucasfilm opening. Oh god.

To quote Oppo Ranciscis “And that is what concerns me.” To have Disney release any post-ANH films on DVD/Blu-ray post-2020 with no Fox logo and fanfare is an insult. They’re still Fox films to me and always will be.

But just because it happening on the streaming versions can’t possibly mean it will happen on home video, right? One of two things could happen; Fox can renew distribution (or even buy permanent distribution) or Disney can work something out to keep the Fox logo and fanfare intact for all post-2020 distribution and Fox will get an incentive.

Star Wars Despecialized Editions - Custom Bluray Set (Released)
Time

You know what I realized what else could’ve been added, is the option to watch ANH with the 1981 Episode IV opening crawl. Also, have each film open with a THX intro before it starts. In order; the fan made Death Star intro for ANH, the fan made Audition intro for TESB, and the first intro, Wings, for ROTJ (which would be the first film to use the sound system).

Oh well. Maybe next time.

National Lampoon's Vacation with "I'm So Excited" restored (Blu-ray) (Released)
Time

Had no idea the DVD/Blu-rays had changed music. You think they would have for the 30th AE Blu-ray.

Meanwhile you can bet a future American Dad Volume 12 set will have the song intact in Anchorfran.

Sort of related, I’m also sick of studios not keeping original (versions of) logos to selected films. What’s also annoying is that how these days recent stuff has original music intact while 70’s-90’s stuff still has red tape to go through. My theory is that these days, studios clear rights ahead of time for today’s film and TV shows.

Thomas & Friends - Classic Series NTSC Preservation (US dub) (a WIP)
Time

Let me just say as a Thomas fan, I’m really excited about this project! It’s high time the classic series got this kind of treatment! Though I also count seasons 8-11 as part of the classic era, being they still used models and sets (season 12 I don’t count because even though they were still using models and sets, they started adding CGI faces and characters). I just want to point out though, the series has gotten better since Andrew Brenner joined the crew. 😉

Just saying, if, IF you were going to include different audio options, I would’ve included all known narrations, but whatever.

Another thing to ask, you corrected/restored scenes like Sir Topham Hatt putting on his hat in Trouble in the Shed and Edward taking Henry’s coaches in Henry’s Special Coal?

I’m still keeping my chin up and hope for the day (or next year) we get the OUT (and the theatrical versions of the prequels) on Blu-ray and remastered DVD.

I too am hoping that one day we will have both the Original Unaltered Trilogy(OUT) and the Prequel Unaltered Trilogy(PUT). I hope that all of them are restored in 4K with the correct Colors and Contrast as well.

We can call them the OUTPUT.

OUTPUT. I like that. 😉
